Follow the poster jsimps when it comes to Pavlik. He says this fight will happen in 09. That is the plan. Anyone that seriously follows MW knows this poster has the best info on this board when it comes to Pavlik.

Klitschko is Ukrainian. And Pavlik is the no 1 over Abraham at the moment. Calzaghe is number one at LHW until he retires or is beaten. But yeah, at the high weight classes the European boxers are the top mostly.

Pavlik saw Abraham/Miranda, and said he would not fight in Germany. It would make sense financially, but you can't really blame KP for his attitude.

If Winky beats Williams, fighting him first makes sense on many levels. It makes a lot of sense if they could get AA against a decent opponent on the undercard. In addition, AA and KP wil both be at 168 before to long, so Arthur is going to be there for a long time to come. With Winky it may be a now or never situation, and I think that with Pav the thing with Winky is personal.

One forgotten side bar is that we could have had Pavlik/Abraham last fall instead of Pavlik/Hopkins, but Arum wouldn't even consider paying Marquez step-aside money. He is freinds with Raul, and used to promote him. He wasn't willing to do anything to get in the way of his shot at AA and a good payday.

I've been follwing this story pretty closely all along, and it is a frustrating situation. However, I'm still confident that this fight will happen before the year is out.

We'll just have to hope that Abraham hasn't seen De La Hoya vs Sturm then :good

And that Pavlik didn't see Abraham/Miranda 2 and decide that he didn't want to fight Abraham in America either...

The bits where people actually live aren't. Once you get to the Ural Mountains it's Asia...

Russia is both European and Asian, Eurasian. There football teams in the West of the country play in the Euro Champions League.

My son missed a question based on this in a geography bee. Which Asian country produces the most rice? Answer: Russia. Eurasia is a political boundry, not geographic.

Actually, from what I've read, location will not be a problem. Arthur already said he would take the fight in the states. I don't think judges are going to matter. Both of these guys leave most opponents in a heap on the canvass. A lot of people predict a Pavlik UD, but I think that is off base. This one ain't goin' 12.

American boxingfans seems a bit desperete theese days...A division is automatically week if it isent run by: Drummroll...Americans

Even some Americans discussed, and liked the idea that HW should be renamed Super HW, and CW should be named HW. I guess that was the only way they could imagine HW to be an all American weightclass again.

In Germany Kelly would need a KO followed by a 20 count in order to win a split decision. If Arthur stayed on his feet for 12 rounds, they'd hand him the fight no matter how bad he got beat up.

Pavlik watched Abraham/Miranda II, and said he wasn't all that impressed. Pavlik fought Miranda and damn near beat the black off the boy. No need for a rematch EVER. AA had to fight Edison twice in order to score one decisive win. Knocking out a fighter that Pavlik ruined is no big deal. Hell, Rubio did that.

    Well I researched it.

Not only is most of Russia's rice grown in the European areas of the country, but Russian rice production is dwarfed by China (Chinese production approx 350 times more than Russia) as well as India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, etc, etc.

In short, your son was screwed.

Another example of corrupt American judging ;)
