I think Kalambay is 1 of the best ever, Apostoli very good himself. But I think Kalambay wins with his jab, movement and defence

Just watched Fred Apostoli vs Steele again.

The guy is a very good boxer on the inside and he has decent defensive movement and explosive counter shots, but he showed he can be outboxed on the outside for stretches of a fight.

Against Steele he's listed as half an inch shorter but the difference looks more to me. Sumbu is listed as half an inch shorter than Fred also.

Sumbu is as good a technician as you could ask for and he certainly has it in to box behind the jab and I imagine he'll have significant success at range.

I can't shake the image of Apostoli eventually timing his way in and walking Sumbu down. I think I pick a late stoppage for Apostoli but I wouldn't rule out a wide points victory for sumbu.

    Apostoli to me.......by UD

I think Apostoli´s head movement would make Sumbu´s jab a bit ineffective.....and Fred would conter-punch him well.....
    I liked what Luf said.....

Close fight with Apostoli by decision in 15......

Sumbu wins via being more modern and black.

I think I will pick Kalambay to win a decision, holding his form to shade the fight in the last couple of rounds. I thin Apostolini's wilder moments cost him. 7-5 type decision.

I think Kalambay likely wins a decision based on his movement and slickness.

Not a surprise, but was interesting to see Apostoli in the Final. Didn´t expect that to be honest.....

Anyway, good to see Kalambay being considered a great H2H, because he really was.....
    Apostoli too, of course.....

I liked this Tournament, was surprising to see Fullmer getting more votes against Benton....
I was expecting more votes to Valdez, another surprise to me that he was out in the first round of the Tournament.....
