    Interesting matchup Vic..I think it goes all 15 rounds, with Sumbu starting fast and building up a lead, but Zale coming on in the trenches and finishing stronger in rounds 12 thru 15 and earning a close nod, maybe even puncttuating the win with a flash kd in one of the last three rounds. a very close fight. Zales intense body work would be the ultimate difference.

    Good post Red.....

    But I think Sumbu´s jab, reach and footwork would give him the edge....a thin edge..in the end.....in a close fight, something like 8-7 Kalambay.....of course I´m talking about Kalambay at his best......
    In my opinion Zale was the greater MW I rate him higher, but in H2H ability Kalambay is skilled enough to beat anyone for me actually......

    Could be..it would be very close indeed..in many of these type matches, the factor of a rematch or a series becomes relevent..maybe these guys would split a few fights..

    Kalambay on points. Zale would push him, of course, but I'm not picking him based on a punchers chance. Kalambay would outmanouver him.
