    Hagler,monzon,Robinson,hopkins,jones

    Vs ali,marciano,louis,foreman ,tyson

Would you give any chance to the smaller greats in 3 rounds to take a decision?

No, no chance at all....and I love the great middleweight champs....but, they're middleweights and the heavyweight greats you mentioned, would be all too aware of the 3 round limit, and would ramp it up exponentially knowing this...like they would if they were contesting an Olympic heavyweight champ in a similar 3 round contest. The well known equation of "mass and power vs.." would be in play. The heavies would be obligated to show who's the boss in a decisive way. Heavyweight pride and prestige would be at stake and any worthy heavyweight champ would live up to that pride and prestige or give up their "heavyweight champion card".

Rocky would have crippled Jones...The Rock would have trained for and been prepared for a 3 round bout....though of the possible matchups, this one would have been the most entertaining, with the Rock prevailing with the same sense of urgency that he displayed in that 8th round of the rematch with Ezzard Charles.

They'd be underdogs but I'd give Jones and even Hopkins legitimate chances of pulling out upset 3-round decisions against Marciano, and Jones a chance of outpointing Louis.

Marciano could have all the sense of urgency in the world and still find that he's too slow to catch Jones in 9 minutes. I could see Jones running and ambushing his way to victory in this one.

Call me crazy but what about the súper fast Robinson and the durable hopkins giving the slower foreman a hard fight for 3 rounds? Or maybe the height and reach difference would be too much to overcome or outbox him?
Or doing good for 2 rounds and Then running to survive the round 3 and getting a sd?

MW Jones and hopkins can both beat marciano in a 3 rounder i would even favor them over marciano in a 12 rounder if we're talking about hopkins from the tarver fight and the best LHW Jones or HW Jones against marciano tbh. Marciano was 185, a modern day LHW or maybe even SMW. Jones said in one of the fights he was comentating that he used to rehydrate bigtime after making 160 so he could conceivably be 180 on fight night and Hopkins was a huge MW also and has a concrete jaw.
Not sure about hagler vs marciano because Hagler wasnt as big as jones and hopkins and wasnt good at "running" either but had a great chin, donnt thin it holds up against marciano though. Marciano takes out robinson because robinson didnt run either.
None of the middle weights you listed have a chance in hell vs Ali Louis Tyson or foreman. MAYBE Jones could avoid getting hit by foreman while landing a couple shots every round to steal a 3 round decision.

Excellent point! (especially re: Hopkins). Has the speed, durability, and defensive skills/style to pull it off.

Why wouldn't that logic apply to Jones v. Louis too?

Yes,honestly i can see it "posible".of course i can see also foreman knocking him out on his feet with a solid jab or 1-2,remember that the mws have to be 160 in the ring, no cheat here, and hopkins had great chin but he never tested this type of bomb ever.

Louis is faster on his feet, faster hands, more combinations and straighter punches. That makes it almost impossible to pull off for Jones.
Now if Jones comes in at 200, different story. Then he has the firepower to gain a little respect and take Louis' punches better
