Hi, i am the red corner. I am 18 years old. I weight 52-54 kg. I from Paris. I have 9 win, 2 losses and 1 draw. My opponent is 24 years old he has 8 win and 4 losses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvK3FwcXG8E
You fought a good fight. I like the way you took your time and picked up the pace. A few things I noticed... 1) you don't get your left shoulder low enough when you hook to the body. 2)you keep your right elbow away from your body. As a result, you don't shoot the right hand- the elbow being up breaks the line of the body so you kind of wave it a lot of the time. 3) you get a lot of weight up on the front foot sometimes. You are looking for your left hand, fair enough, but you also get your feet pretty far apart a little too often. Then, when you throw the hook, your weight doesn't get back onto your right foot. So you aren't getting full value on the left hand, and it cheats your right hand, because you aren't transfering the weight forward. It kind of gets hung up in the middle, if I'm making sense. Good stuff, though. Spend some time in the gym working on your feet. Try keeping them under your shoulders as opposed the an 'A' shape. You'll move faster and get your weight shifted on your punches faster and more effectively.
your opponent had no choice but to try and get to the inside & fire some hooks ,,,if you have an advantage having a longer reach (which you did)make the most of it with lots more straight punching if your backs to the ropes start to faint the jab more then commit with power jab or straight right ,your weight needs to be over the back foot then you have more control when committing to the shot You look a tidy boxer well done
You seemed a little tense through out the match. Watch your stance, don't square up and relax your upper body a little to make your movement a little more fluid. I'm positive there's hardly any advice we can give that your trainer hasn't told you already. Follow his advice and hope you make it far. Great work :good
Great Job man. You seem to have an out-boxing style, primarily using the jab and keeping a distance from your opponent and throwing flurries (fast combinations) when on the inside (close range) like Sugar Ray Leonard if you want a good example. Your footwork is very important for a fighter like you, so you need to run a lot to get the endurance up so your legs do not become tired during the fight. Also learn to throw your combinations fast on something like double end bag which will develop your accuracy.
By the way, I really appreciate you posting videos of your boxing career on youtube so people like me can follow you more easily. Keep working hard man. The world title will come one day.
