    Great stuff!

We can all nitpick over placement and where we agree or disagree but it's good to acknowledge that most people's all-time p4p lists change over time and not all positions are set.

Having said that, I think you're spot on with your top 2!

I really think that Ali is overrated compared to Ezzard and Langford. I also would have Gans and McGovern clearly higher. Some other heavyweights can be a bit lower, overall this list is great.

Real good. Seeing Freddie Welsh that low makes me sad in my balls and Langford below Mayweather made me scratch a little NO into the living room table though.

    Good read, good list

Although seeing Mayweather next to Ezzard did make me want to backflip of a balcony, as did seeing Duran above Ezzard

    Nice work.

Could you explain why you didn't include Packey McFarland?

Love Duran being placed that high. I would have FM outside my top 30 though

The numbers are awe-inspiring, but I am always really suspicious of my knowledge in the no decision era, and I know so little about many of the names who fought McFarland. I have never read a book on him either, that will hurt his standing.

But I suspect if I did my research he would be on there.

There is nothing that totally stands out as an original or creative philosophy, as I tried to be pragmatic.

Got to have Joe Gans higher, and Hagler higher than Roy Jones

Floyd above Langford ,Pep and about 25 others is a shock

I think its a good list,I wouldn't presume to put them in order. Carruthers and Monaghan don't belong imo
    Freddie Steele?
    Owen Moran has wins over
    Wolgast
    Neill
    Murphy
    Baldwin
    Stanley
    Dixon

    Holman Williams has wins over
    Wade
    Moore
    Burley
    Lytell
    Belloise
    Cocoa Kid
    Marshall
    Basora
    Booker
    Tunero
    Chase
That's better than Carruthers and Monaghan's records put together, imo.
    Peter Kane?

Steele was considered for the list; Moran is a tough one, I probably do underrate him, as he is top 40 on my British list. Williams and some of his contemporaries were also considered, and I understand why many have him in their list.

    Mayweather's too high.
He should be around where Oscar De La Hoya is.

This is a great list ...the only thing i would change...is maybe putting James Toney somewhere towards the bottom ...but I'm biased ...great job!
