    1. You want to be great, and you are, but you are one of the few fighter who has the ability to be the greatest... but are not willing to work as hard as the truly great's did.
And in this day and age with all the media and free money... No one can't blame you (fans are not the ones in the gym or the ring.

    2. You like being a celebrity and making money dancing, fake fighting in wrestlemania and being on MTV more than you enjoy being a boxer.
Most celebreties get paid to do nothing, and with your trash talking, arrogance and money flashing from boxing you have managed to become a celebrity, Its free money man... And im sure you read the news about all these broke boxers right ? so again I can't blame you.

    3. Being a celebrity at the Lakers game is more fun than having celebrities watch you take punches.
(And yes... again i can't blame you)

Im a floyd fan, always have been, since hes been a champion i have not been able to think of a current fighter who could beat him, and yes a last fight would have made him even greater regardless of who he fought, but we can all agree that sometimes a "last fight" can ruin a carrer aswell, or stain a record how ever you want to put it... just ask the great Julio Cezar Chaves.

My three thoughts on Mayweather retiring.

    1. Hasn't
    2. Done
    3. Enough

He doesn't even come close to the status of Robinson or Ali. In fact he barely makes the top 20 fighters in any weight class of the last 20 years IMO.

    just some questions:
... how will Floyd earn his beloved money outside the boxing ring in the future ... nobody likes him, nobody really cares about him even his own family ... do you think he will end financially like a Tyson?

What makes me laugh is that Floyd recently rebranded himself as "Money" Mayweather yet he retires just as the money is getting big. I think he just realised that there's a good chance he'll lose his "o" which is quite important to him.

Even if he stays, who else is there apart from Marg/Cotto winner?, got a list that he could possibly fight in his weight division?
Enough is what's available right now and he fought everyone worth fighting, Cotto aside who only recently said he's ready for a fight with Mayweather but never got his team to call Mayweather's team. Don't expect Mayweather to call him, he is the champion not the challenger.

Exactly my thoughts. Not even a top 40 all time fighter. How can he really think he's the greatest ever,Robinson had near 200 fights in his career and never ducked anyone. I still think he will come back for one or two more superfights but in order to be considered an alltime great he has to fight more and take on tougher challenges which he wont do

If you have the audacity to claim you are better than SRR, you should at least have the courage to attempt to actually prove it.

Julio Cesar Chavez was a true warrior, not a cherry picker who retired in
his very prime like chicken Mayweather.
