My 5 Simple Reasons Why Boxing is Better than MMA

i have trained karate for 3 years did high school wrestling and trained bjj for 2 years ive been doing boxing for two days now and i have to say that the attmospher while training is better than karate and bjj and just as good as wrestling. those guys are really fighter and its great. that being said mma is a better sport to watch imo

 

MMA is totally different, I wouldn't even call it a sport, its a dog fight man, Boxing's a sport with safety in it. Don't compare MMA to Boxing they both are very different. Look at the history behind Boxing Look at the legends, MMA has only been around since 1993 practically are there is no history, it looks to me as if there aren't even rules in the so called sport.

MMA in the form of Pankration was one of the original Olympic sports in ancient Greece.

Why i like MMA is simple. It's easier to make big fights happen in mma than boxing. The best of UFC fighters have to fight each other in order to get a title shot. In boxing you have all these promoters that can't agree with money which makes big fights disappear.

 

No rules? You must have been watching the old UFC when it first started. UFC has added many rules since. Back then there were no judges, no time limit etc. You win when your opponent gets knockout or tap out.

Now UFC have three 5 minutes round for non title fight
five 5 minutes rounds for title fights.
You can't hit your opponent in the back of the head-you cant poke his eyes out - you cant kick them in the head when their down and your standing up. etc etc UFC has more rules than you can imagine.

 

**** there was more going on back then like these guys werent wearing mouthpieces or even wrapping their hands the majority of the time. I also think you forgot lowblows and headbutts. I got a few older UFC DVDs 3,5,6,7 its crazy to sit back and watch the brutality of these fights. Now its much more a true sport like any other back then it was a true street fight on PPV.

 

Man your new so called UFC Heaveyweight Champion is Brock Lesnar. HAHAHA this guy is from WWE AAAAAAAHAHAHAHA, Its pathetic.

That's the only thing that suck about the UFC. Their rankings is pathetic. Giving lesnar a title shot after only 1 win in the ufc is wrong. There was other guys who deserves a title shot before lesnar.

 

There is no pleasure in watching two guys roll about on top of each other, I'm not saying its not a skill it is in its own way. Most of the fights are scraps, back yard brawls without weapons. Were are your defensive masters like Floyd Mayweather, your fighters that throw thousands of punches like Manny Pac, or the Money, Pay Per View Buys and attractions that Oscar De La Hoya earns. MMA is different in its own way don't compare it to Boxing.

 

Exactly, thats what I'm saying this guy from Wrestling comes in of the street and earns a Title shot in his 3rd fight, There is no respect,its crazy.
