Of course I havent seen ALL the fights from the 80s but of the ones I have seen, here are the best 5......

Bobby Chacon vs Cornelius Boza Edwards II (1983)

Rafael`Bazooka`Limon vs Bobby Chacon IV (1982)
Aaron Pryor vs Alexis Arguello I (1982)
Marvelous Marvin Hagler vs Thomas Hearns (1985)

You think Sanchez-Nelson was better than Chacon-Boza Edwards II, Chacon-Limon VI or Leonard-Duran I ?

Yeah, but I also gotta toss in my favs like: "Duran-Moore" and "Duran-Barkley." I was so stoked for Duran in them title bouts / wins.........

I also like "Holmes-Cooney" very much so.... As a teenie bopper in school, that fight of '82 was huge.......... It also delivered too---if you liked Holmes.... I DID!!

In many polls the majority of experts were picking Cooney. It's shocking how many favoured him, Joe Public and Eddie Expert combined.

Surprised at how Duran vs Barkley is getting overlooked here. That fight was special on so many different levels.

Harding-Andries 1 was a top fight between two limited but very tough fighters.

Rosario-Ramirez 2 was one of the very best ever imo.

Hearns-Barkley was a huge upset and classic comeback.
