Tell me what you guys think. Im in the red. I think the stoppage was premature but i know i would have gave the guy another standing 8 in next few seconds and it would have been stopped regardless. I tried to edit and use 2 different angles so it might look a bit choppy when the angles change.

    Nicely working the jab
    Straight right landing all day
He fails to do anything about your jab or jabs to the body
good job moving back (not too far) after you've thrown/landed punches
good job going to the body when the guy in blue comes too close and throws a lazy jab

Guy in blue didn't do well at all. It would have been stopped anyway.
The guy in blue just didn't get a rythm and kept walking into your range without doing anything.

The advice i'd give you for your next fight (hopefully against a better opponent) would be to keep using that jab

    My thoughts:

    1. Ring card girl wasn't too shabby for one of these events.
    2. The guy you was fighting was a bit gunshy but against guys with a height and reach advantage you might want to look at keeping your head moving a bit more when on the outside.
    3. Keep your left hand up when throwing the right hand. You are so open to a counter right there mate.
    4. Don't neglect the body. There were several occassions in the first when your opponent kept a high guard whilst you winged in a barage of Chisora-esque hooks to the head when your opponents body was wide open. Body shots are so important and often overlooked. Nobody likes taking a wack to the ribsand even if you're not stopping people with body shots you're going to bring his hands down and create more openings.

Well done though fella. For only your 5th fight you showed a level of patience you don't often see. I've seen so many novice amateurs go in like a windmill or just look like a rabbit caught in the headlights (a bit like your opponent). You seem relaxed and pick your shots fairly well. Just need to remember the basics which comes with experience.

    Good jab.
    A little more head movement.
1-2's/1-2-3's are a little wide (can't tell if they are hooks or straights).

    Also:
    Ring girl :smoke
And that ref seems to be lazy.

Keep up your hands all the time and protect your chin after throwing the jab, a faster boxer may land a few more shots.

Also throwing alot of wide punches which even though was successful could be done more efficiently, you don't need to give up that much room and wave your arms as much, your hooks are great but try close up the distance.

Other than that, well done mate, all the best.

Excluding the stuff people have already mentioned.

Try shorten your stance a touch, your rotation on a whole (especially your back leg) will improve, in turn, you will get more power in to your shots. Staying on the stance (legs) have your trainer work on slipping shots and head movement using your legs. A lot of the defense that I saw was just upper body movement, which isn't a bad thing, but loosening your legs up and using them to provide the foundation of your upper body movement makes it much easier IMO.

You did very well for your 5th bout, showed a great deal of patience. Don't take any of the comments you receive in this thread as negatives, it's only constructive criticism...no one ever stops learning remember. Good luck in the future :good

Noticed sometimes you pulled the right hand backwards before throwing. Winding up.

Nice contrast of a very sexy looking ring girl and the grotesquely fat ref.

Good **** man. You have a nice jab, and you definitely have that killer instinct when you see that he's hurt.

You should use your left hook, and come up through the guard with uppercuts a bit more, especially when he's hurt and covering up like he was. Good fight though.

Snap your shots dont push them and keep your chin down when you fire the jab every time you jab you stick your chin straight out there. Keep your hands up a little more.
Not bad, but I will tell you this if you dont bring that jab back faster than that or if you keep throwing it that lazy you will get knocked out by a right hand.

Good spot with the stance. Just watched a second time and noticed that. Footwork is so important, it's the foundation for everything you do.

As i mentioned in another thread today. When i first started out boxing my first trainer wouldn't even let you hit pads until he was happy that you was at a decent level with your footwork. I must have gone to the gym 3-4 times before i even got on the pads and even then every week we would run drills for footwork.

Shorten that stance mate and you'll find punching will feel more comfortable and that your right cross will pack a lot more power as you'll be able to pivot your trailing leg and put your waist into the punch better. Your movement will improve ten fold as will your balance.

When i first started out i had a wide stance and tore a muscle in my back sparring, where i was having to over extend the right cross. Shortening your stance could not only help you technically but stop you having to sleep on your living room floor for a week too :good
