Good. Good infighting. Try to snap your jab out a little straighter, a lot of time you just flicked it out there and he just countered over the top. You are accurate with the hooks to the body, if you turned in to them a little more they could do some damage. Good job.
so i take it you was the one who won? good fight if i was you tho i would not pull my arms back for the hooks to the body becuase it takes longer and your opponent will see them coming from a mile away. but on the other hand really good.
what a fight non stop action brilliant.both you and ya opponent scrapped very well was it a split decision becasue to my eyes it look tight as **** i think that you won due to been the tidier puncher but great fight.
because at the time i was sub-novice (1 to 5 fights) and the other guy was novice (6 to 10 fights) so i moved up in division to fight him but i guess the rules are they have to fight 1 minute cause i was really sub_novice not novice... but now im open i fight 2 minute rounds.
I hate the fact that now they go four two minute rounds in open versus the three for three minutes which makes for a better transition once you turn pro. As for your fight, congratulations on your win! Your opponent was really getting wild while your effective punches were straight down the middle. Good infighting as Amy mentioned with some good straight uppercuts. Amateur fights lend themselves to all out action but remember to maintain your composure instead of blowing your energy with all the wild haymakers, even if (especially if) that is what the opponent is doing. Good progress! Continued success!
ey brother, that was a tight fight i just saw. I'm loving the hooks from both of you guys. great work! i wish guys fought that sweet flashy amateur style around my area, here they're all bash and 'move forward no matter what'.
Good stuff young man. You have very good skills and can tell you put your time in the gym. One thing I would quit doing though is switching. You release your hands very good as a righty no need to try to change things in the fight. Force your will and skills on them and they'll have enough problems with that. Keep up the good work.
Good fight and good styles. Still don't follow the 1 min round deal. Maybe is different there then here (Canada)...but i've never fought a 1 min round, period. Had first fight at 12 fighting a guy 2 years older in Michigan, santioned...was still 3 2 min rounds. Plus you said was your 6th fight. :huh
thanks i really apreciate it... the reason i switch is cause my grandpa who is my trainer trains me to be left handed because he trained my dad to be left handed his whole career and he also likes it better....
Do what your trainer (grandpa) tells you. My advice is just that, advice. Your trainer knows you the best and in my oppinion is doing a very good job. I trained my son to be a lefty too and started him off at a young age so his left is decent but his money punch is his jab and right hook. Keep up the hard work in the gym cause like a good freind of mine who was a titlist always says when you train hard the fight is easy, and I agree. best of luck to you
you looked good and you can definently bang. just stay outside more and more combos. the guy you were fighting was easy to hit and he hit you way to easy, espeacially when you were inside.
Good stuff, good fight overall. Your offense is general was very good, and if you are O.K with trading shots, then this was good because your shots were A LOT better then his. That jab could use some more stiffness, but in general it was good.
