your feet looked wider in this fight than in your past ones seemed to take away from your mobility... his power seemed to get you off your game... straight left was a lil slappy work on rotating that hip with it more... close fight tho imo, wasnt a clear point differential after the 1st rd
Unlucky mate, I lost my fight this weekend too. I agree with Jasper, I think your left looked a bit slappy also I think you should have thrown a right hook behind your 1,2 a lot of the time he was open for it
That fight was at 178. I am 6' tall. Still a little pudgy as I have yet to tweak my diet. This week I am going to get my diet right.
I'm serious, and I have no reason to make fun of you. You're a southpaw, you hold a high guard and you move around similarly to him.
Thank you for the comparison. I watch him sometimes, but never really studied him. He's an excellent fighter.
Sooo true. thanks for the tips. The Regional USA boxing chairman, came up to me, and told me he was very impressed with me, and that he would love to see me represent my region in the Nationals in the future. I just need to stick with it and keep working. Still only been boxing for two years. I just need to try harder and not come out cold next time.
You may be losing fights here and there - but your still improving well done. I'd say your D and also your footwork should be a bit of a priority- you can bang but even though your looking more seasoned now you could do with a lot of work on your defence. You shape up quite well (aside from the feet) but your reactions when punches are coming in aren't quite there yet. Ypu'll find that if you get your feet right you'll have more time and more options on defence.
