First off this fight has been a long time coming and I'm happy to see that it's almost here. I see this fight going two possible ways. The first will be PBF getting on his bike from the start and using his superior footwork, jab and accuracy to pick Mosley apart while he gives chase without cutting off the ring. In this scenario it would be a rather one-sided affair, one in which I couldn't see PBF losing but 1 or 2 rounds at most. Shane is good but simply doesn't have the legs to stay with PBF if he fights like this for a full 12 nor does he have any answer for a good jab as shown in many of his fights. Shane can't adjust and becomes frustrated he will then become even more reckless allowing PBF to land harder counters in the late rounds. This is the type of win that PBF won't get much credit for it if it occurs people will say two things one Shane was shot or or two PBF ran. The second way I see this fight unfolding and the best way for Shane to win is this way. He must make this fight extremely physical he has to maul PBF holding him and fouling him as much as he can but while he's there work the body instead of head hunting. It's really his best option and hope while he's doing so he can tire PBF out and land something big. With that said there are three problems with this tactic. One PBF has great stamina and never tires. Two PBF is a great inside fighter he's very adept at walking you into shots you don't see on the inside. Three PBF has underrated strength it's not as easy to muscle him around as most people think. Another thing Shane must do, is that when this fight is in the middle of the ring he has to show a jab even a pawing one will be better than nothing at all. I've said this 1000 times you won't beat an elite defensive counter-puncher like PBF without one. You must show a jab to keep him honest and disrupt his timing. He must also feint and throw the overhand right behind it not being predictable which Shane is known for is also key. He can't fall into bad habits like no head movement, squaring up and throwing arm punching winging shots PBF is too godd and will take advantage of him and counter him or beat him to the punch all night long if he does so. In the end I see PBF being too much for Shane who can really only beat PBF by KO. He won't win a decision. So PBF by UD is the smart pick here.:deal
Nice analysis but I disagree with Shane not having his legs. He had plenty of legs vs margarito, but the time off will mostly affect his reflexes.
Margo is a stationary wide open plodding fighter. Shane's lack of legs didn't show in that fight but it will against a mover like PBF.
Why don't you take a minute and explain why you chose your name and avatar. Lemme guess, you're a college kid who thinks AP is some deep masterpiece, microcosm of our materialistic society? Grow up, hit the real world and get back to me. Thanks
I paid specific attention to his legs when I watched the fight again 2 days ago. He definitely has as much legs as he did 5-7 years ago.
Not a bad analysis at all. I'd love to see that scenario actually play out where Mosley breaks him down to the body and hurts him with something big. If that happens Mosley can finish him... But yeah..odds of that happening are very low. Very very low.
Damn dude, some people just think thats a bad ass movie. Personally its in my top 5 list of favorite movies... The satire in American Psycho is hilarious and very successful getting its point across. Why don't you back off the kid and grow up yourself, oh caster of the first stone.. :huh
Nice analysis. I think one of the differences in this fight will be Nazeem. In the past, Mosleys confusion in my opinion was that his Dad was not as tactical as Nazeem. His father believed in his pure abilities, while Nazeem is going to have a plan. I really don't know about this one. Either Floyd is going to make Shane look old or Shane is going to give him a barage of punches and win a decision based on volume. I can't see Mosley getting peppered all night. One other thing to note is who is hungrier. I really think it is Shane. Money has the skills but Mosley is no slouch. Last thing I find ironic - remember how Ricky Hatton's camp made fun of the Mayweather slap focus mitt routine? Now, Floyd is making fun of the "towel" in almost the same manner. Hopefully, not a what goes around comes around. Should be a great fight!!
hahaha All he has been doing is going thread to thread and lipping people, including me yesterday, so I just wanted to call him out. Didn't mean to offend you too, honey.
Hate the poster, not the movie son! It may not be a masterpiece but it sure had me thinking afterword. Darling...
Don't stress dude, I have heard people call pulp fiction a pile of ****. Some people just don't like certain types of movies. I for 1 really liked american psycho, didn't blow me away totally, but it was a great movie.
i'm excited for this fight, but i'm also anticipating the ridiculous amounts of feints and clinches we're going to see.
