His time for a title shot is long over due. Time for UFC to make things right. I hope Machida leave for another org. They treat him like ****. He may be boring to watch but no one will beat him.

Machida is going to keep getting hard, hard fights. He's been getting shafted, while ripping through some tough, tough fighters. But you know he's going to have to rematch Franklin, fight Shogun, and fight a guy like Vera before he even gets a sniff of a shot. That's all thanks to Dana White and his cronies.

Just sad to see a guy trying to make it get passed by with good talent.

They both have almost equal records, but Rashad has more finishes, and has the better "big name" win, and in more impressive fashion, hard to argue against Rashad getting it.

True I think Machida should have had a shot awhile ago though.

More than likely - Machida will rematch with Rich Franklin in the not to distant future. Franklin seems like the kind to seek out the challenge of avenging his earlier loss to Machida.

Machida hasn't faced any big names in UFC's 205. Rashad faced Chuck and knocked him the fudge out. He deserves a shot more than Machida. I still believe Machida hasn't been truly tested. He's kinda of like Vera overhype right now.

Machida did defeat Tito Ortiz - even if it was a rather tedious fight. He should be put in an eliminator for the number one contender's spot at least.

Rashad deserves the shot more a brutal 1 punch KO over Chuck Liddell add in his draw with Tito Ortiz,TUF 2 Winner, wins over Stephan Bonnar,Jason Lambert,Michael Bisping he deserves it. Machida is good but its not just about being good its also about being exicting and Machida isnt even boring hes insulting to boring a guy like that shouldnt be given a title shot until all other possiblites have been exhausted.

Machida won 30-27 vs tito while Rashad Evans got a 28-28 draw after Ortiz was deducted 1 point for grabbing the fence. Problem with Machida is that he is very boring to watch for people who don't like technical fights. I find Machida interresting to watch since it is always a chess match, but he needs to finish more fights instead of getting a decission.
