Every time I seem to exercise I hurt something. I think I just don't have a body designed for fitness. It's always these niggly things that don't go away - and carrying on through it just makes it worse and worse. It's not the kind of things where I can really curse my bad luck, as things could be so much worse, but it constantly holds me back. On top of that, with the frequency of it, everyone just thinks I'm always faking it.. Example: Each time I do road running/play football (soccer), I get tendonitis in my shins. This problem started about 5 years ago, peaked 4 years ago and has been niggling ever since. I get patella tendonitis randomly While doing regular weight training a couple of months ago, I got what I think to be tricep tendonitis and had to keep stopping. Now, I'm training for a fight on 16th April and I've got some strange, indefinable pain in my left shoulder when throwing a hook. I just don't know how to get rid of it, and I can't pinpoint the specific movement that causes it. I don't know what to do. This **** is doing my head in, I really must just have one of those bodies where a few thousand years ago, natural selection would have taken care of me by now :/
I'm seeing a physio soon, but up until then all I can do is sit and stress about my training and whether I'll be ready for the 16th
This could be for a number of reasons your getting these aches and pains, first you must ask yourself these questions, 1. Do you work to failure on every lift or exercise you do? 2. Am I working out to hard during the week and not giving my body time to properly rest? 3. Am I lifting weights properly, and do I sometimes lose technique trying to pull out the last rep? 4. Is your body naturally growing in either weight or height, which can put stress on your body? How old are you? I know when I was going through puberty around 13, I went through some growing pains, but it was out of the way by 15 or so. Another thing that caused me to be really sore in my legs, was when I used to do countless squats, I had trouble walking up the steps for a day or two.
i had the same problem with my achilles when i used to play soccer. i was really quick with all my foot movements and every once in a while my achilles would clench up. not like a cramp, just more of a tightness. it got so tight to the point where if i pushed through it i would feel like i needed to collapse. i did a lot of physical therapy to try and cure it and was really dedicated to it, but it was to no avail. well, i decided not to play college ball and started boxing a few months ago. but a few months prior to that i would feel light headed when lifting weights, etc. so i got my blood tested. turns out i have hypothyroidism and take a little pill every day forever. i dont know if this was a solution to the problem because i dont play soccer anymore. but i recall instances where the clenching would be so bad my foot would become numb. this obviously had something to do with blood flow, so maybe theyre related. anyway, if you're like me, youll do anything to push through your problems to get to your goal. you might wanna get tested for something blood related.
