He said it looked like they gave Rampage the, "Go ahead and lay low" sign.

Eh, I don't buy it. You don't let your leg get mutilated in a fight you're supposed to throw, and you don't almost knock the guy out that's supposed to win. I don't recall any such gesture, but if there was one, it's possible they told him to take it easy on his leg. Who knows.

Hmm, i doubt it. But i don't understand why he was so passive during the final rounds. He is usually a very aggressive, in your face fighter. I was disappointed with his performance.

I feel Rampage gave the 2nd round away. His knee was hurting and he decided not to waste energy and possibly hurt it more while trying to escape.

He also let Forrest burn a lot of energy in that 2nd round.

it was a lethargic performance to say the least. His heart certainly didn't seem in it. he had no intensity in the fight.

He was half a **** hair away from putting Griffin to sleep.

He looked bad after he got kicked so hard it seemed to injure his knee, imagine that.

To beat Griffin you've either got to out work him or knock him out, Rampage did neither, simple as that.
Its got more to do with Rampage's inactivity recently than any of the so called theories appearing on this forum

Doesn't matter, everyone that gets in the cage ends up with some kind of injury and most keep fighting with everything they have. He was clearly coasting through the last rounds and showed little heart to go for the win.

Rampage didn't appear to be in peak conditioning. His body wasn't as toned as it has been in recent fights. He got tired and Forrest was able to outwork him.

You know what I noticed that as well. I still dont believe he took Forrest lightly I dont see how you could after what he did agianst Shogun and Tito plus this was a title fight. However **** its possible Rampage had the flu during training or something and it messed things up. Anyway ill give Rampage his due the man made no excuses and showed alot of class in defeat.

I don't know but he seemed all too comfortable with loosing and wishing the guy who took his belt the best and that he(Griffin) will be a great champion. It almost sounds like he was announcing his retirement and seemed all too content with loosing. To me, he doesn't seem like he is all that crazy about MMA. He has been talking about potentially getting a movie role, etc...
In my opinion, he just seemed unfocused, didn't seem to be in the type of shape he was in against Lidell. In fact, he made a comment on an interview, prior to the fight, saying that for a guy like Griffin, it didnt matter if he missed 9 months. But that if he were to fight someone like Liddell he would have to make sure he didn't take such a long layoff. it is obvious he wasn't to focused on the fight and his performance showed. It didn't appear like they had any type of game plan against Griffin's style. No answer to the leg kicks other than just sit back and take them.

Griffin had the same long layoff Rampage had.
