My concern is, Cotto's weaknesses are PAC's strengths...
    - Cotto having problems with southpaw boxers... PAC is a southpaw...
    - Cotto get hit a lot... PAC throws non-stop punches in bunches...
    - Cotto's stamina is questionable... PAC is known for his superb conditioning...
    - Cotto is relatively slow... PAC is super fast...

Conditioning wont be a factor because Cotto is always in great shape. Cotto seems to tire when forced to fight outside of his normal rythym meaning he is going backward using more movement than he normaly would. Cotto will be the stalker in this fight because Pac does not have that Marg,Clottey,Mosley, type strengh to be able to take Cotto's punches and keep coming forward.

Agreed, defense is going to be huge for him.... Just want to see him box, jab, jab, jab, all night..When it moves in tight inside to the body with that hook, glue the right to his jaw, uppercuts... focus on the body though inside.. Thats going to big. I'm thinking he wins, for real...

Cotto's problem is his stamina and Pac's speed. Pac IMO has already gotten acclimatized in the 145-147 by sparring w/ young and fast and even taller welterweights. Pac would like Duran fighting SRL in their first fight. But Cotto is no SRL in terms of footwork and handspeed. Another thing, Cotto gets cut easily. It means he lacked the necessary defense to protect himself from fast swarming style of Pac.

I, myself, do not see Cotto losing this match. Past the given "he's too big" point, he's too patient and is ferocious with his body attacks, which can be said that is Pacquiao's weakness. I would think otherwise if he was a come forward fighter like Hatton but he is very smart, but I'm not counting Pac out completely. I know he'll have moments with his flurries but I definitely think Cotto will be able to handle them and throw something harder back. When you think about it going the distance it sounds interesting but I don't think it will and I reckon Cotto will stop him.

But I could be wrong. Either way, one of them is getting to Mayweather and thats a fight I want to see.

Morales did not beat pac "strictly" by boxing. Morales has always been a scrapper and liked to brawl.

And No, when he "began to go for some gusto" he did not begin to lose the rounds. Morales was successful enough to go for it and force Pac to go back and fight going backwards which is one of Pac's weaknesses.

That first knock down that MORALES took in their second fight. It was PACMAN moving BACKWARD in case you didnt' realize that. Obviously, even though PACMAN was bleeding in every rounds after 5th when he sustained a HEADBUTT, MORALES still wasn't able to really impose himself with GUSTO. 115-113 for MORALES, that wasn't a with GUSTO result. :hat

cuts could be a huge factor for both men- cotto was put on thge highly defensive against clottey and if that happens you gotta think pacman will take the chances clottey didnt to put him away
on the otherhand pacman has suffered bad cuts as well and in marquez 2 it held him back in the mid rounds before the blood stopped and he rallied late on

also with a southpaw v orthadox expect head clashes especially as manny looks to slip underneath as he throws the right

I don't think this will happen Kirk. Cotto learned an expensive lesson in the Corley and torres fights. Since then he has been way more calm and composed depsite fighting in front of similar crowds in PR and NYC. I do think that he needs to try to put some hurt on pac though but do it in a controlled fashion

Add me to that list haha....go raiders... anyway I think Cotto will be cotto come fight night. Smart and cerebral, will bang when he has to and will try to outbox manny. I just think he can stay that way for THE REST od the fight. Pac's speed will prove to much and I predict cotto will try to overpower pac. If that happens, cotto will get overwhelmed. Pac by ko Middle to late rounds

    Go Chargers!

This is a very Hard fight for Pac! I have a feeling both are gonna get hurt in this fight, its just who is gonna want it more. Curious to see how Pac will react when Cotto keeps coming at him throwing bombs, and if Cotto can handle Pacs Lateral movement.

I see Cotto being very patient in the beggining of the fight as it will actually be PAC who is going to try to do the same thing as he did against Hatton. Cotto is going to box and pick it's spots... if Pac get to close he will try to go to the body. PAC needs to land something huge in the first three rounds... if Cotto realizes that he can take Manny's punch it will be a loooong night for PAC.

Cotto likes to strategize and he knows that Roach is going to count on him to tire and that's why he is training so hard and for a long time...

I can't wait for this fight to happen!!
