Number 1. He is not British. That is all. My girlfriend demands i put the colour of his gloves in at number 2 but i cant do it. I like them. Im so sold on this guy and i love his style and technique. He is not perfect, no Boxer is but other than devastating power he has the lot. I couldnt give his opponent more than a couple of rounds, 3 at a stretch. Benavidez couldnt tempt him onto his counters, he played it smart, kept a fair pace worked and tired him and picked up the rounds as he went. Benavidez was waiting and waiting for the openings to come for those counters but Crawford and his team are not dumb and knew what to do and did it really really well. Benavidez isnt the shining light of the Welterweight division but hes a big name and a big man. That looked to me like a near perfect Boxing performance. Maybe thats a bit much, but it was fantastic. Not that im saying he wont have tougher tests, he will, theres still another level to this division but there isnt many people at that level.
