does hopkins really deserve to be as high up as what you are putting in your list?

his body of work from the last 2 1/2 years is

    w pts v ornelas
    w pts v jones
    d v pascal
    w pts v pascal

does this really justify hopkins being above someone like froch?

Hopkins lost to C Mitchell, looked terrible when losing to Jones in a tame affair, couldnt beat S Mercado getting put down twice in the process, looked pathetic falling out of the ring and only getting a NC against R Allen, got beat twice by J Taylor, got beat by Calzaghe where Hopkins looked a right tart trying to get time out and couldnt beat Pascal at first time of asking

All that to Popkins makes Hopkins a previous top 10

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Froch beats Pascal when undefeated at first ask, something Hopkins couldnt do, Froch beat J Taylor, something Hopkins couldnt do in 2 attempts. Froch loses a close decision to Kessler away, who is a harder fight than anyone Hopkins has beaten

All of that and Froch wasnt in Popkins previous top 20 P4P

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    :patsch Popkins logic explained

Popkins is back tracking now with a new P4P list because Headbanger made him look a twat by asking him knowledgeable questions as to how Popkins made up his lists

    My logic is solid:

    :smoke

I am "BACKTRACKING" by making my first p4p list for a year.

So to update your p4p list, is a "backtrack". You should not update your p4p list at least once a year?

    Now that's what I call illogical. :patsch:patsch:patsch

    Martinez
    Manny
    Wlad
    Hopkins
    JMM
    Ward
    Bradley
    Donaire
    Segura
    Cotto

I will only rank Floyd after he fights Ortiz, but pretty much the bottom of the list could be easily taken by other fighters. It's just matter of opinions.

yeah but you missed out that froch has now beaten phenominal super-middleweight glen johnson, and surely that is enough to put any fighter up a minimum of 15 places on your p4p list :rofl

yes, it was enough for popkins to also place sheika, ottke, vanderpool, branco, kiwanuka, and sosa in his p4p top 10 when they all beat road warrior glen johnson at super-middleweight :rofl

    My list

    Pac
    Martinez
    Donaire
    Jmm
    Hopkins
    Wlad
    Pong
    Segura
    Ward
    Bradley

    Notable absentees

Floyd, purely due to inactivity, fully expect him to be number 2 come september, the more I think of the fight, the less chance I give ortiz

Gamboa, feels more and more like circumstance because fights that seemed cherry picks look much better with hindsight, but john is haunting his resume in the fw division and is easily the best guy for him to face

Cotto, beating foreman was great but the guy has been exposed as ****. Beating margo proves nothing to me, wanna see him v a live opponent

Froch, beat ward and he's there

I wanna drop bradley just for ducking khan, but that is stupid. Wlad and pong are there due to longevity and uncontested dominance. Hopkins is there for twice schooling the best lhw in the world.

Unheralded dream matchup: pong v segura, excellent clash of youth v experience with the victor justifying his lofty position. I favour segura to do it with ease and maybe make it as far as bw.

got to feel sorry for chad dawson, he loses one close decision to the wonderful jean pascal and then wins a clear decision against diaconu and he goes from number 3 in popkins p4p list and is then totally bombed out of his top 20, a minumum 18 place drop in 11 months

has this sucker forgot that its not that long ago that dawson beat the legendary glen johnson twice :rofl
