MY DIAZ / MARQUEZ prediction was 99% TRUE

For my part, I read the whole fight very badly. I thought that Marquez would do all these things much better:

-control the ring
-control the distance
-control the pace
-avoid a lot of shots (defence)
-stay off the ropes

I didn't think Diaz would be able to come inside so easily, control the ring, control the pace, the distance....hit JMM so much....

...Diaz had the better of JMM over the first 8 rounds, and if it had gone to the cards, I'd have given him the fight.

...Now, I'm thinking JMM is not getting any younger...I am thinking father time's catching up with him, I'm thinking one of these days he might get beaten by a fighter who is not so highly rated...

...and I am thinking Pacquiao would have a decent chance of knocking him out too, if they fought...in any case, I'd pick Pacquiao to beat him fairly clearly...

...I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with JMM's performance. It was a cracking fight...and they both performed at a very high level...B+ to A-, but....I expected even more from JMM...:think

well if it had gone to the cards at the end of 12 rounds i would probably have had JMM winning 9 rounds to 3 with 2 knockdowns at least so a score of 117-109
