I just set one up at home and I'm unable to find the perfect balance between the proper height and tension. Instead of the DEB coming directly back at me, at times in bobs up and down. I'm unsure if it's the type of chord that is used (came with the Title set), or it's due to tension issues. Should the tension on the upper chord be somewhat equal to the tension in the lower chord? Right now it's much tighter at the top so I could place the bag at the right height. Does anybody know a good knot to shorten the rope without cutting it (other than the sheepshank)? Any advice would be appreciated.
iv set one up at home and its not perfect either but the way i see it is your opponents head moves around all over the place including bobbing up and down
Yeh mate i know but a home gym is better than nowt. my DEB is the same, my heavy bag hangs a little low, the area i skip in is the living room by pushing furniture back haha. You just have to make do... However im rambling now but i was thinking about getting some better bungee cords for it as i dont know about you but the ones that came with my bag were schockingly bad!
After constant adjustments it's finally moving better. I'm also looking to try a different bungee cord cord, perhaps the rubber ones.
is the bottom cord stretched way further than the top? mine was originally like this as im 6'4 and need the bag higher than most people + my roof isnt high enough. what i did was attach a rope to the ground and bottom cord so its not stretched as far. hope this helps
Thanks, I had a feeling that the bobbing may have been caused by the unequal tension between the bottom and top cords.
