When it's all said and done, this is what I would like Mayweather's resume to look like. This is of course with realistic match up's, meaning no Top Rank fighters. Ranked from best to worst: Genaro Hernandez Jose Luis Castillo Diego Corrales Oscar De La Hoya Juan Manuel Marquez Shane Mosley Erislandy Lara* Ricky Hatton Canelo Alvarez* Miguel Cotto Matthysse/Garcia* Devon Alexander/Amir Khan* Carlos Hernandez Zab Judah Robert Guerrero Jesus Chavez Victor Ortiz Carlos Baldomir Angel Manfredy Carlos Gerena Arturo Gatti Demarcus Corley Victoriano Sosa Emmanuel Agustus Sharmba Mitchell Last fight: ??? No idea.
Come to think of it, I was a bit harsh on Victoriano Sosa. He's more of a 15-17 type of win. He was game in his loss, he definitely tried harder than Ortiz, Gatti, and Manfredy, which I put in front of him.
I actually would like that fight. It would be fun to see Floyd pull of another Gatti like performance. What better opponent to do it with than Maidana. But I prefer he fight the winner of Garcia-Matthysse before fighting the winner of Lopez-Maidana.
My dream resume for you elemnetary Middle school 2 years of highscool coke dealer GED Gas station person cementary guy
He has a clear cut top 17 wins as of now, in my opinion. In order of when they occurred: Genaro, Manfredy, Corrales, C. Hernandez, J. Chavez, Castillo X2, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Oscar, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero For me, I'd like to see in addition to Alvarez, a realistic lineup of: Garcia/Matthysse (whichever is 140 lineal), Khan/Alexander (if those goes; if not whichever has highest WW rankings), and Bradley (I think his Top Rank contract could end in a time frame which would make this feasible; could be wrong about that).
Floyd Mayweather Canelo Alvarez Lucas Matthysse Terence Crawford Erislandy Lara Amir Khan Manny Pacquiao - they'll make the unnecessary fight happen. Miguel Cotto Jose Luis Castillo Diego Corrales Juan Manuel Marquez Genaro Hernandez Ricky Hatton Zab Judah Sharmba Mitchell Robert Guerrero Victor Ortiz Jesus Chavez Angel Manfredy Arturo Gatti
That list was complete bull****. How on earth can you have a list of fighters over a 2 year period?? Guys can lose and guys can come out of nowhere.
You'd be surprised when Floyd came out of retirement his hitlist included: Marquez, pacquiao, Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto. He fought em all except for punkquaio Ortiz despite ****ing up as much as he did was still able to make it as a Mayweather opponent Now certain names on Floyd's rumored six opponents hitlist I don't care to see a fight with like Angulo and Alexander
