Muhamed Ali then : Mike Tyson Lennox Lewis Evander Holyfield Ridick Bowe This generation of this four maybe was onr of the best in history of heavyweight.
Liston had a mistique, an aura, few had it , but he commanded it. He was always surrounded by notoriety.. Great fighter who had a vast number of unknown quantities surrounding him. Liston was the epitomy of tough.
Jerry Quarry. Kinda tough luck guy, came along the same time a Frazier, Ali. Seemed to get cut only in big fights, which most people don't know. He life was quite a soap opera.
My favorite is Evander Holyfield. I know that he wasn't the greatest heavyweight of all time, but I guess that because I grew up watching him so closely that I developed a close liking for him. Here are my main reasons: 1. He had tremendous guts 2. He never quite, even when badly hurt 3. He was a well rounded boxer/puncher 4. He always showed up in great shape 5. He fought the very best fighters available throughout most of his career 6. He was a modest gentleman who didn't talk trash, nor got into big fiascos in or out of the ring.
I like Buster Douglas I could relate to him as a person I was a huge Tyson fan and usd to hate Douglas but when I found out more about him I liked him he was a very normal human being who when he got his chance did an extraordinary thing which winning the HW crown in any era is.
