....let us forget tonight.... heck, lets also forget the past 6 years that has seen our Samson fall from grace and instead remember what he was: one of the best boxers the world has had the privilege to witness: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDWnMXzgeZo[/ame] This content is protected This content is protected
He's still my fav fighter of the 90's When he beat Ruiz he already accomplished anything that he could achieve. But he clearly becoming a cocky figure after all his achievement and talk louder than his act. He should retire at at 35 years old. Watching his reflex & skill against Ruiz was amazing but then how he performed against Tarver was just sad today's match against hopkins to me is just like chavez vs randall rematch in their 40's, I dont care, nobody cares
I am now of the opinion that Roy was actually robbed. Please see the following thread. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6480507&posted=1#post6480507
robbed or not its not an interesting fight and unless you give 2 bonus points to Jones, he;s still waaay over the hill
ive wanted him to retire since the fist Tarver fight (that he barely won)... I hope this is it for him!
No, lad. I'm quite serious. It was brought to my attention by another poster in the thread where i posted the link. I watched the fight in real time and never noticed. I scored it clearly for Hopkins. But, when I went back and rewatched in slow motion, the first 'rabbit punch' (round six), it was clearly a legal punch that landed on the side of Bernard's head, above and behind the ear. As Bernard was unable to continue for three minutes, the result should have been a Roy victory by KO in round 6. I doubt even Roy has watched this yet in slow motion.
