The punch landed about two inches above, and one and a half to two inches behind, the ear.

Hops clasped the BACK of his head. NOT WHERE THE PUNCH LANDED.

 

Roy is still the man. Despite the loss, he looked better than Hopkins did. What vindication did Hopkins think he was gonna get crying about low blows and rabbit punches right after doing the same. Roy looked like the man posing to the crowd while B Hop was on the ground crying.

Thank you so much for this post.

I was honestly so bummed because of the fight tonight (not because roy lost, but because it sucked so hard and both fighters looked like trash). The losing years of roy should be put behind, honestly, the mans career should have ended at heavyweight.....Thats where it will always end in my books

Give him the first Tarver fight. He may have looked bad but his heart in the last couple rounds of that fight are some of my favorite Roy moments.
