There's a lot to work on but i think you showed grit and bottle in that fight and at times when you settled down some skills. You look nervy and a little tense but keep thinking and look to get use the skills and your strengths you have. You will get there in the end mate just make sure when you shadow boxing sparring etc you train on the weaknesses and strengths you have and implement the stuff you feel you need and can use. Use your jab snap it more make sure it lands hard and crisp and double it and settle feet down and pick shots more and stand ground and throw feints and look to turn opponent. Don't give so much room between you and opponent because you can get backed up to ropes to easy. Small steps and lead them onto shots. Sit on your punches as well and sting your opponent. Don't under pressure go back in straight line move off to side if you can. You fought well there i thought it was close fight and in my opinon a rematch you beat him.
Don't let him just rush on you like that, side step as soon as you feel your body touch the rope get off. Good fight though mate, take this experience and learn from it .
cheers lads i feel the same Manda that i would beat him again but any boxers says that. i have finally found confidence in the ring so its just a matter of tweaking it and getting the right results in training
Exactly what you needed Just think of it like this, amateurs is like a sparring match for the pros. Miguel lost to a bunch of people in the amateurs, and then demolished them in the pros. Hopkins made jones look like a ***** in the amateurs, then jones outclassed him in the pros. :bbb
Yep, him and Tarver. Hopkins wasn't all that great in the amateur's though. I don't think you would've expected him to come this far in his career judging by his amateur career
I'm actually not, I was just using them as an example to show how different pros and amateurs are so you don't feel discouraged
