I seen plenty of amateur fighters like yourself and i always felt my style when i was boxing as a youngster was pro suited. alot of fighters adapt there style to win in amateurs and struggle with pro style it's a very fine line. Just stick at it mate and keep the faith in your ability. We all saw last night the point scoring system is a farce and i rather see a boxer win a round then hit someone twice and cover up and run. It does click i seen it before fighters with patchy records and losing streaks and then it clicks don't know why maybe it comes with experience.
You move and box very well, I think as soon as you get a little more pop in your punches (esp. the right hand, you were almost pawing with it in the first round) it'll make the world of difference in that you would have been able to keep your opponent a bit more "honest" when he was coming in* *I know **** all about amatuer boxing, so feel free to ignore everything I've said!!
Are you going to start taking offence? Because if you are I can just go down the "Good fight" route.... Yep, I thought you won the 2nd but I'd guess the other lads aggression got him the fight. You've usually got to win pretty clearly to win off the back foot.
im not taking offence Gaz critizisms good yeh i have to win real clear but i think i agve away too much in the opener telling him he was a crap fighter and i thought he lost to Antuofermo no i said 'was that as good as antuofermo-minter' he laughed and said 'antuofermo was undisputed middleweight champ and had destroyed Hgaler' then we got a photo i said ' you fought wrong fight with hagler' he said ' i know he was good stick in and good luck see you'
that was a brawl!!!!!great fight mate, probably would have been different if it was pro scoring style, because in amatuer they don't score the rounds do they, its for the whole fight right?but you better become pro, then at I can say I know a professional boxer (even though I've never met you, or never will!!!)
Yep, I agree esp. with the points system. Your foot work is very good but its a bugger to get any space in a ring that size.
