He was outpunching you. Good movement though, you look good on your feet and by your stance you look like you mean business haha. Good fight.

Nice movement, apart from the fact that you keep lifting your left leg. You make a fight of it, but he's the clear winner. His punches are more compact and have a lot more snap. You're a bit style over substance to be honest, the sneaky lead right is a good idea, but it looks a bit 'feathery'. Still, there looks to be some potential.

Thanks for the vid! I agree with you that you improved in the last round. You looked more relaxed and less skittish in that one, more effective.

You have good movement and you're quick. Probably should be a bit more distinct with your punching and in your decisions when to engage - you let him set the tempo for most of the fight and force those decision upon you. Of course, he looked like he was really good at doing that, and those guys are always hard to face.

Anyway, it was nice to see. You clearly have talent, so please keep posting these vids.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking. One should always try and surprise those guys. Not retreat every time they come charging in, instead stand ones ground at times or even close to distance, so you get to choose yourself when to engage, let off a couple of punches and then hopefully move away before he gets set to respond. So the guy doesn't get to set the pattern and become too comfortable.

Some nice footwork, your a rangy type (how tall are you?) and need to get your jab pumping and the long 1-2s coming as soon as he comes to your reach distance. He was able to outjab and fight at his own best range because you didn't get the shot off when he was in range. The few times you did catch him with a solid jab or right he went bak but you need to sit on these shots no weak punches

He seemed to be able to walk through your shots because bluntly you don't punch hard enough. This is partly because he was obviusly stronger but also your punch technique needs work. You were also getting murdered on the inside, which is partly because your taller but being tall gives you some advantages insider with the uppercut. Work on throwing the uppercut, to the jaw but also to the body and also work on clinching so when you are losing the inside game you get split. Also you back up in straight lines a bit too much and you shouldn't end up on the ropes.

Just keep working on your punch technique, throwing them on the bag or pads. Work on sitting on your shots more, the power comes from your legs and back. Work on getting the punches straighter and properly turning the punch over. Focus on each punch individually rather than pitter pat combinations. The work on powerful 1-2s and 3 punch combos. Make them perfect. Watch fighters with great punching technique just to see how they punch like Tyson/Duran/Hearns/Robinson. Although style wise model yourself on Tommy Hearns because your rangy

Also seriously work on some strength work. The only weights exercises I'd have a boxer do are: Standing Shoulder Press, Power Jerks, Power Cleans, Squats, Deadlifts. Mastering the teqnique of these and gradually making incremental will see your strength, power and explosive increace. Look up these exercises and how to perform them. If you don't do them right you could seriously injure yourself. But once you've perfected them and work hard on them your power will go up astronomically. Seriously after having kids perform power jerks I notice a big difference on the pads in the same workout so imagine how much it will benefit you over a year. Many other weights exercises will add muscle that is useless to boxing for the main part and make you cumbersome so learn these exercises, perfect them and work on them weekly or bi weekly.
