Well i had my first fight on the second of March and i just thought id upload it couse pretty much everyone else has uploaded theirs too so heres mine. I am the guy in red.:happy [YT]qntjxLCH2EU[/YT] [YT]mDhB62aW4-w[/YT] [YT]fUowQn0c_t4[/YT]
This was my first fight. I have been training for 1 and an a half years now. My opponent had a 1-1 record and i think he has been training for two years, i don't realy remember.
Looking good Zhaakal, this was your first match so you got that out the way, review your video and look for things you could have done better, and maybe things you should not have done, Unlike all the professional trainers tat will come by and critique your match and tell you what you should do and this and that, all I will say is go back to the gym and work on more variety of punches, body shots, jabs up and down, and maybe doubling upon the jab like I said man looking good keep it and your guards up
overall you did good 4 your first fight just three things you need to work on which will come with experience keep the chin down, there was a few times were he caught you with ur chin in the air and when you fight better fighters you get hurt, i no i have the same problem back foot is pointing quite far back, it cn take a bi of power out your right hand you tend to go square on occasions(not very often mostly when you get carried away) but against beter fighters you might get tagged thats all you showed good ring genaralship and took the fight away from him, and pushed the stoppage well done and best of luck in future fghts:good
Thanks guys . Yea i remember he got me good in the first round with like 4 or 5 flush shots, i am suprised i didn't fall down. I've been training realy hard and my overall strenght was better than his. I realy felt that he was tired in the second and realy tired in the third round. I felt that he wanted to get me out of there in the first round and becouse of that he used a lot of energy and was realy gassed out at the end of the third. After watching the video i couldn't belive that i held my chin that high
You did very well for your first match. I saw good stamina, good speed, and good skills. A few things you need to improve. If seems like you have shorter than normal arms for the weight class. This means you’re going to have to work on head movement and counters vs bigger punchers, or longer armed fighters. You chin was a bit high. The good news is your footwork, speed, and accuracy is pretty good, so if you work at it, I think you can be a bit more well rounded.
How old are you and how old was youre opponent? Also you did a pretty good job just keep your chin down That guy kept walking into your jab
Thanks for sharing. Looking good. Just keep your hands up and your chin down, please! By the way, I like those classic style trunks, those are cool. Good job!
Thank you all for the great feed back. I will answere some questions now : In my country boxing isn't realy what it used to be. There aren't a lot of competitions. I had the possibility to go to some competitions but we had trouble with transportations. Also my coach wanted me to be 100% ready for anything that might happen in a fight before he actually let me fight. Estonia I fought in the 66-69 kg divison, i felt that the other guy was naturally bigger and had longer arms. I think i should be in the 63-66 kg division but i tried to make the weight but it drained me of my energy so i though that **ck it and i went to the 66-69 division. I don't realy know about my arms lol Though i am naturally stocky, something like Tyson, not tall but bigger bones. I am 16, will be 17 on the 24th of march, my opponent was 16 also. Thanks
Well done, you looked good for a first bouter. You have a classic Soviet-style boxing stance :good. Are most of the people involved in boxing in Estonia Russian? Cause the ref was speaking Russian...
We were in a city called Kohtla-Järve which pretty much concists of 100% russians. The event where i was, out of 54 fighters 44 were Russian. Most of the boxing officials, trainers and even most fighters in Estonia are russian.
good match. few pointers: don't back up in a straight line, instead circle off left or right or feint left than move right by ducking. move your head a bit more. I see when you did that to your opponent he was hesitant to punch. I think if you bob and weave you can avoid punches and strike back
