Hey! Here are two links to 2 rounds of my first fight (it was against a Dutch champ). Please make comments about how or what I should improve. I know I shouldn't turn around the way I did a couple of times (I don't know what happened, normally I don't do that :s) and I should use my right more but I guess that unconsciously I didn't use my right hand much because the whole week I had a small injury on that hand. I also noticed that everytime I wait for my opponent to come and hit me and so I already know that next time I shouldn't be doing that. Already thanks in advance . O yeah, I'm the one with the red. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aUjCYMEzB4[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvynuK5zEx8[/ame] I have to say that I didn't really know what to do I guess because of stress as well!
Haha thanks but I feel I could have done much better than that but alright, my next match will normally be tomorrow.. If my opponent makes the weight of 69 kg cuz my trainer won't allow me to go against someone 75 kg for my second fight..
Good job Liz. The kid in the blue is punching really slow and his hits weren't very accurate and sloppy, though your punches were fast and accurate. Keep it up
you keep your guard very high and ur hands not in a position to fireback, also you leave your body wide open once engaged. keep working hard and youll be right on track.
Ken ik niet, ik dacht misschien was het een bekende. Als je weer vecht svp posten, ben benieuwd naar je progressie
good points - for someone at your level you keep your hands up pretty well, left hand wasnt too shabby either bad points - your right hand is far too "looping" leaves you quite open, bit more head movement you definately have abilities to work with
It's nice to see other women posting in this forum. I'm at about the same level as you (although I do not have the guts to post my own fights in here!), similar weight class and build even! (I fought at 69 kg last month.) Great job in there - you've definitely got the foundations. I can't see a lot you haven't identified, or others haven't mentioned, already. Your stance could be more compact to protect your body (right now your elbows are up really high because you appear to be focusing on protecting your head), but you have a good sense of your reach advantage and you're not letting her trap you. And I have been told the stress gets a little easier once you have a few fights under your belt - like you I made a lot of mistakes in my first fight that I thought I'd gotten past in sparring. How did your second match go?
Yeah the twirling hehehe. I did it like 3x :s (it was just weird I don't know why it happened!). Eraser, cool , now you got me curious to see some of your fights. How many fights do u have now? In the end my second match was cancelled because the other girl weighed 75 kg and my trainer didn't want me to have my 2nd fight against someone big and heavy like that!
