THIS WAS MY FIRST AMATEUR FIGHT JULY 26TH I LOST BY A STOPPAGE I THOUGHT IT WAS BULL**** BECAUSE I GOT A LIL CUT UNDER MY EYE AND THE REF CALLED IT I FEEL I WOULD HAVE WON IF HE DIDNT CALL IT EVEN IF I WAS GETTIN TAGGED A LIL IN THE 2ND ROUND. I'VE BEEN TRAINING HARD SINCE THEN AND I FIGHT AGAIN DECEMBER 2 LEAVE YOUR CRITICISMS AND LET ME KNOW WHERE I NEED TO IMPROVE IM TRYNA FIGHT THIS LIL ****ER AGAIN IM IN BLACK THE ONE THAT DROPS HIM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clMC58crPlE
tell you what man those refs are always ****s,got told off in my last one, threatened with disqualification if i didnt stop making a little noise when i punched.i dont think refs realise its not a tickling contest its a FIGHT!
Did you see the video? The links up there how do i make it so i could post the youtube video up with my post like everyone else?
It looked like you ran away and didn't want to fight after the 8 count, your legs didn't look stable either. Judging by the video he was just too good for you at this stage. You lost fair and square, train hard for your next one. Also I don't understand the hostility against the guy you fought, being mad at him isn't going to change anything. When you throw a punch make sure you commit to it, putting a punch half way out and pulling it back just shows that you're unsure of yourself, that's why the guy jumped on you. Try and throw different punches, give your opponent something to think about.
He didnt hurt me too bad not to the point to where i couldnt fight anymore the only reason the ref stopped it was over a cut, but i feel i was letting too many of those right hooks get past my guard
Highlighted quote is very true, i used to do that also. I would want to throw a jab then pull it back cause i knew it wouldnt hit him, be decisive and throw every good punch you can think about. Don't worry bout it mate majority of people lose their first fight but thats better and motivates you much much more to train harder and smarter. Goodluck and continue training
50% of people win, 50% of people lose. But the 50% of people that lose actually learn something from it, and become better.
I learned quite a lot. Btw i had a frustraing stoppage. Gave my a standing 8, i held my hands up. He asked me to step forward and i did. And he waved it off. It was the second 8 count. They like to give them when you cover up too long. I still feel he should have just stopped and not have that count.
The worst part about that stoppage is there was only 9 ****in seconds left in the round. I've learned a lot since july 26th and i have been in that gym 3 to 5 times a week the past 3 months i still habe some bad habbits but im working on em
You looked hurt and you looked like you were running away towards the end. But he did win fair and square, don't take it personally on him. I hate people who have egos or take **** personally in boxing. It's a sport, show some sportsmanship.
BS stoppage. I think he hit you with a better shot at the start of the second round with the straight left hand instead of that hook. You should have stuck with the jab and lateral movement. He seemed to catch you when you squared up and pulled your head up. Good job though.
as far as im concerned if im conscious, not on the ground, n i could still see and throw punches im not that hurt and i wasnt that hurt if you look a lil closer before the ref stopped it i went right back at him and landed a right the reason why it was stopped was because i had a lil paper cut under my eye. That 2nd standing 8 was bull**** i didnt even get hit, he shouldnt have won that fight......... I would have got him in the 3rd round i know i would have just like i did in the first thats why i want to fight him again because i feel that this fight isnt over.
