Here is my first match. I have been boxing for one year now. Last week was my first fight and my endurance just let me hang there, I don't know what happened but only after 1 minute I had nearly no endurance, in my sparring sessions I can withstand up to four minutes. The other guy had 2 fights before and was senior, I am still junior. Here is the link, please tell me what I did wrong, would be nice :) :bbb

I'm the one with the red helmet.

Could have been down to nutrition or maybe nerves, being nervous can sap your energy.

Perhaps your preparation for the fight was not enough. You need more training and concentration, aside from endurance and food intake.

Being tight, nervous, will tire you. You get excited and you forget to breathe. All in all, you looked pretty good for a first time, real real solid. When you catch that jab, pivot off it and jab back. Or parry it, and counter. Don't move straight back, circle.

You did noting wrong. It justs takes 5, 10, maybe more fights (different for everyone) until you can get in the ring like its just time to go to work (how I think of it), and without your heart rate being through the roof.

Nerves and adrenaline will burn up whatever energy you have like you wouldnt believe. well maybe you would now. :)

You wont see the benefit of your fitness until you've settled into being in the ring and fighting. It will come. Good on you and stick at it.

what was said above is correct as far as nerves go it'll take time for you to be in control of your nerves. i don't care what anyone says though everyone will be nervous prior to a fight even the world class fighters but the trick is to be in control. What i noticed here is you looked a little tight. Work on being fluid in the ring, another thing i suggest is stay busy in the ring, work on throwing punches in bunches. Don't allow the opponent too much time to think about his next move. Start working on making that jab automatic. you looked good for your first outing just keep at it and stay busy

Left jab --- most important fight in boxing.
    Singles, doubles, and triples.
    Use the dam thing.
You control the fight with it.
It keeps your opponent off balance and sets up everything else.
You should make your opponet eat it all nite long.
You should be having fun in there.

I am no expert, but you shoud have been way more aggresive! it seems like you are afraid of your opponent at the beginning of the fight. of course you are nervous the first time you fight, but you gotta have more confidence when you step into the ring. if your opponent hadn'nt been so nervous too you will get knocked the **** out... hope you follow me :)

Well done mate, congratulations on your first bout.

Im no expert but I used to box and here goes.

Nerves sap your energy terribly, all that nervous energy. Thats my experience, and it can both help you and hinder you, its all about how you handle it. With experience comes ringcraft and how to use your energy. People who havent boxed dont realise how knackering it is. Amateur fights getting started are usually at a furious pace and its hard work. Your ring fitness will come, just keep working hard.

Your jab looks good, try and use it more, snap it out, like a piston. Move around and don't go back in a straight line, pivot, through feints and get moving to the sides, and use the ring. Tuck up nice and tight, get those hands up, and when your fighting a smaller guy like you were don't be afraid to tie him up on the inside to stop him working there.

Get that jab going, make it count!

Hope thats ok, keep working hard bud your doing well.:bbb

What this guy said. When you're nervous you need to remember to breathe properly if anything because if you freeze that, then everything will follow badly.

Also when you jump back rather than step you'll expend a lot more energy.
