My Froch v Groves prediction

Froch has really 'hartful' punches as jim watt would say... But he doesn't really posses that one punch put to sleep power. Groves is the harder one hit puncher... groves has the better footwork too... It all points towards a groves points win.... EXCEPT groves has a suspect chin and froch has a granite chin and that's where this fight will be decided. If groves lasts 12 rounds I beleive he will win this fight on points.

froch does have reach advantage but I think groves can take that away with good movement

 

It will be a shock if Groves last 5 rounds.:bbb

 

Dont forget groves lack of experiance as well, should of took the steiglez fight when he had the chance, an easy paper title and a step up from his previous comp

It's going to be fun on here after the fight that's for sure. I'm tipping a Groves win by stoppage. Tenner bet placed.

 

Ward, Kessler, Taylor, pascal all couldn't ko froch and you think groves will - wow !!

groves has shown himself to have devastating power at domestic and European level in his last few fights, it remains to be seen if he will carry it up to world level. He may well do. That's what makes this fight so interesting.

 

I agree.Like most,I tend to think even though theres a big age difference,Frochs experience at the higher level will tell,as with Georges tendency to cut.I happen to think Jim Watt knows what he's talking about,and when somebody like him says its come too early,I tend to agree with them.But its still up in the air.Unlike all the other fights EXCEPT Crolla and Foster,if it comes off.

 

Doesn't it prove that froch can take shots from the world best smw though ??

 

I think Groves will do well for the first 4 but I think hes going to try and time one big shot ot a time when Froch rushes in, but Froch will throw 3-4 each time so unless Groves big punch lands flush every time and stops Froch in his tracks then eventually Groves is gonna miss and Froch will catch him good

 

Different power, different punchers in terms of the way they are delivered.

Kessler is more a straight down the pipe puncher, whereas Groves is more come round side heavy shots ; top of the head type stuff that could cuff Froch. He also could land square on the jaw.

I think the way Groves delivers his power shots are perfect for the way Froch moves and leaves himself open, especially up close where he can get sloppy. Expect to see alot of up close dipping from Groves and he'll be looking to punch with Froch at close quarters.

 

Think Mayweather v Canelo, and you have the profile for Froch v Groves. Froch's jab has three inches on Groves'. Froch will establish a lead in the first three rounds, behind his jab. When Groves tries to step up, each time he comes in Froch will absorb the few punches that land, and hurt him. By round six, Groves will realise he can't win the fight that way. When Groves starts looking for a plan B, Froch will have the initiative. Froch's workrate over the next two rounds, the punishment and pain he inflicts on Groves virtually unanswered, will see the Ref step in and save Groves before the end of round eight. We'll all breathe a sigh of relief that order in the boxing universe is rightly restored, and acknowledge that another pretender has been dispatched by The Cobra.

 

Groves will win. Getting my prediction in there before the big chukka.
