Agreed. That's a dream fight for a hardcore fan of real fighters. I'd take ruslan but that's a brutal fight. There's no 2 ways about it...it would be an extraordinarily violent event. Huge fan of both guys.

Lucas would be a more exciting fight but I would love to see ruslan beat danny garcia into a bloody pile of unconscious average boxer. I don't like to insult anyone but if you think danny has a chance against provodnikov... His people would never agree to put him in the ring with that Siberian ****ker anyway. Danny just ain't that guy. But, being fair and mindful of the intangibles, ruslan cuts very easy it seems. He marks up bad to which is a bummer cuz his chin is strong. Makes it more exciting to watch him tho. If not for the papery skin if say danny had no chance. That's a negative for ruslan tho. Not a positive for garcia. If you know what I'm sayin.

 

But Matthysse has better power. That's why he knocked down Corley 8 times while Ruslan needed a gift.

 

Garcia would of gotten lucky to just get a draw with Matthysse instead Lucas gets robbed and now Herrera. Nothing overrated about Prov he earned his spot the hard way. He's improved since the Bradley loss he jabs and attacks body more, making him much more dangerous. Prov raised his game he can beat any Jr welter at this point including Garcia. Supposing Swift and Prov are on the same level, which the Herrera fight clearly showed they are, Prov is a stylistic nightmare for Swift. The way Danny fights tall like that a KO waiting to happen. Lucas, Prov, and El Maestro with his world class boxing skills are better than Swift, who's very good himself, just gets outclassed or out hustled by those 3 anytime.

 

Matthysse should fight Herrera. If he becomes the first fighter to knock out Herrera, and Provodnikov beats Rios, then a Provodnikov-Matthysse fight would be HUGE.

ruslan is a good fighter though and a win over him a a great win on anyones resume even pacquiao. i dont know about duran but he gives me a kosta tzyu
with more volume type of fighter. i think for his style he is a a class fighter.

I think he's slightly overrated.

He's not as good as the other top tier Russian fights like GGG or Kovalev, but is physically strong and has a chin of iron. There are very few guys at 140 who can match him in a fire fight, but he can be outboxed by an elite boxer.

I'll take you this much...he beats Maidana. He's physically stronger and has a better chin.

Provodnikov was cheated out of a knockdown by Bradley's referee, Provodnikov did some brain damage to Bradley, left Bradley on the canvas. Provodnikov is not overrated at all...........

 

The Herrera fight was a draw in my book.

 

You forgot to mention Prov also lost the fight.
