Nope. I think he was making the point that Clottey is more of a h2h force specifically at 147lbs, which is a fair enough argument (though I don't necessarily agree, or feel that if so it's by all that much) - at least I assume. Clottey's a huge WW, after all, and the Ghost is a natural super feather who just outgrew his prime weight. If we're talking about p4p ability or credentials, no, you can't argue for Clottey being Guerrero's equal.
He was rumored to have a fight lined up this month with Patrick Teixeira, an undefeated Brazilian southpaw with a high KO rate but no credible opponents, but that wound up being a mistaken announcement by the Ghanaian promoter. It was another light middleweight named Joshua and from Accra - Joshua Okine - who'd been scheduled to meet Teixeira. (which seems to have fallen through) In the interview where he cleared that up he didn't mention having anything real on deck.
What injury did Clottey suffer vs Margarito, I read his X-rays came up negative despite claiming a bad injury Clottey had a few good fights but let's not get caught up
He initially claimed his left hand was broken. The x-ray showed no actual break, though it was clearly injured somehow.
Decent fighter, no more no less. Agree with this post. I actually thought he won the fight against Cotto but he has also had some very underwhelming performances as well. Silly thread title.
