1988 prime mike tyson beats any other heavyweight in their prime in the history of the sport. He has a skill that we will sadly never see again
mikey was a beast...i like seeing cus leaning on the ropes and wonder what was going through his head...
I'd take Lewis, Holyfield, Foreman, Ali, Holmes...Liston and maybe Frazier. Guys like Dempsey and Marciano would have to be considered in the the "if they were born today they'd be so much bigger" category or they'd be too small. Maybe include Frazier in that too.
Anyone familiar with his parents or grandparents way of life because he really was a finely This content is protected fighting machine?
Its become the legend of Mike Tyson, like Jack and the Beanstalk but the bottom line is go check out the Duster Bouglas fight in Japan. Mike seemed invincible. But in reality well you guys were probably little kids when you first started watching Tyson and he probably was more akin to a mighty hero than a real person, so I can understand the hero worship. The Impression is he is invincible but we know the reality and its time to grow up and let it go.
tyson is the no.1 h2h heavyweight for me. i'd be hard pressed to favor anyone over him. but i'd say tua or ibeabuchi would pose him some problems, i'm still confident in a tyson win. some of the big heavy's with good jabs like holmes or lewis likely would pose some stytlistic difficulty, though i still think he'd win. i urge all tysonians to pls come into this thread and worship mike.
Tyson's skills deteriorated once he left Rooney, it was evident in the Bruno fight, and his skills slow deteriorated after each fight without Rooney.
those videos are edited to make the punches exaggerated.... still he had amazing speed and precision early
