I hear ya man but there are many reasons that could explain tyson's downfall. Watch that video and tell me what other hw has those attributes and what other hw has the skills to beat that machine?

That feeling I get just from watching that video is indescribable. :-( Damn.. how great would it be if we get to see a HW as amazing as him in the future.

I wouldn't favor any HW over him.

well i've never been a tyson hugger,an ali man myself but i defy anyone around at the time to deny that say up to when tyson destroyed spinks that they thought that kid was possibly going to be the best ever.fair enough due entirely to lifestyle and out of the ring issues he went into rapid decline, but the frustrating thing is he was still a work in progress, how good could have became if he'd stayed on the straight and narrow.i would have still taken him at his best to give any of the top heavies in history enormous problems

Tyson could get beat by a world class fighter in his prime with a jab. It's a pickem really

I don't see a fighter with Tysons attributes and style improving much after his mid-twenties. I think we all too briefly saw the best of Tyson, the rate of the decline and the fact that he was still good enough at 75% to beat most of the other HWs out there was pretty amazing though.

H2H, I think there are very few HW's who would have beaten Tyson. In fact, from a H2H perspective, I reckon only Louis, Ali & Holmes would have possibly beaten Mike.

As ridiculous as it may sound to some people, but H2H, Tyson may actually be the best HW ever! I've never ever seen a fighter so young do the things Tyson did in training & in the ring, & do them to such a high level. When he was young, training all the time, Mike was to boxing what a sponge is to water - he just absorbed everything he was taught & practised over & over.

Back in the day, Tyson's enthusiasm was a strong as anyone's. That enthusiasm, coupled with the fact that he was immensely gifted 7 his high calibre skills, would have made him a highly dangerous opponent for any HW in history.

Put it this, if a fighter would have been able to beat a prime Tyson, that particular person would have been in for the bout of their life & they wouldn't forget it, that's for sure!

Personally, I feel Mike could have gone a long way more & achieved a great deal more in boxing than he actually did. He accomplished great heights, but could have scales even greater heights.

Great fighter & my all time fav.

Yeah, strange as it sounds I've always thought that prime Ray Mercer could have beaten Tyson. He was a good boxer with a great jab, great chin and wasn't scared of anybody. I think he'd have intimidated Tyson and had the tools to beat him. Would have been a good fight.

What a waste he was. It really is a shame.

What could have been. That is what I think of when I think of Tyson. He was a devastating body puncher and turned into a head-hunter after he fell in love with his own legend.

Also, it is a shame that Cus wasn't younger as I really believe Tyson would have stayed on the straight and narrow with that man alive. Although I don't excuse Tyson entirely... a lot of people took advantage of him.

Ali and Lennox could beat Tyson in his prime, I feel. But not sure if anybody else could... Possibly Holmes aswell.

He was an animal at his best. A waste indeed. :-(

I would favour: Lewis and Ali. Perhaps Larry Holmes.

i don't go past ali, sometimes attract a little stick for it occasionally!however the thing tyson has for me which gives them all fits is the amazing hand speed and of course the great power to go with it.ali had amazing hand speed although not great power, and i just think a prime tyson still having the upper body and head movement would get inside even that 80 odd inch reach often enough to cause ali great discomfort, although ali's notorious ability to tie a man up on the inside would nullify a lot of tysons work, who wasn't great on the inside anyway.
