My guess as to why Chris Arreola is back...

I think Arreola will be Joe Joyce's next opponent

That's not a fight I want to see - but what else could lure Chris Arreola away from his barbecue pit? There's probably some decent money in getting fed to Joe Joyce as the man has got a pretty big following. And if they haven't got Joyce in mind for Arreola - then I'm guessing it's probably Junior Fa or Izu Ugonoh. All three have or have had an association with Al Haymon.

Fa is currently managed by Haymon and needs to score a name for his résumé after looking none-too-good in his last couple bouts. Arreola would be a useful test - though I don't think he's any step up from, say, Craig Lewis at this stage.

Ugonoh had an association with Al Haymon in early 2017 - though it might have ended the instant that Breazeale's right hand caught up with him. If Haymon is still representing Ugonoh, then Arreola isn't a bad rebound opponent - and I'm quite sure he gets Chris out of there with much trouble.

it might not even be that complicated. He probably thinks that streaking together a few wins might get him another big payday....

Yeah I see that fight possibly happening next for Joyce as well. Fa is with DiBella, didn't think he had anything to do with Haymon and Ugonoh isn't with Haymon anymore. Ugonoh's career virtually ended after losing to Breazeale.

And he likely still has that delusional self belief.
Arreola never took the sport seriously and is the definition of "i will do it tomorrow". I've seen him work his ass off in training footage, but it's mostly just cardio.

Chris will face either Breazeale or Ugonoh soon.
