My heart, and respect goes to Michael Katsidis

Great fight these two guys gave us what we asked since we been craving a real fight..tremendous heart from both fighters and tonight was a night I will never forget..im a huge marquez fan and to be honest did not think much about katsidis before this fight was talked about... i knew he was good but tonight he was great..he gave marquez a great fight and im sure to him as we all know it was more then a fight for him..it was for his brother and for respect which he defitnely got and much more..these 2 guys make you forget about promoters ..ppv numbers..money..they went out their and boxed a hell of a fight for their countrys , fans , and boxing fans..marquez is my number one but to me katsidis is the better man to me tonight .. man has a huge heart..australia should be real proud to have a class fighter..and his brother is more then proud of kats he put on a show for the world...just when we think boxing is not what it use to be these guys for 9 rounds made me feel like a kid again watching fights with my dad....great night for boxing and even a better fight for kats

I see what you're saying but you're going a little overboard there man, Marquez got up from a hard KD and dominated a tougher, younger fighter. Marquez was the better man tonight, Katsidis was the better story.

I just think its amazing how his bro just past away and he was able to go out their and put on a good fight..now that im older and have a family just the thought of loosing some one is hard and i dont think i would be able to do it..with everything he has gone thru these few weeks and being able to do what he did tonight with all that is amazing...i think he diserves alot of respect..

 

Props to Katsidis that while overmatched, gave every ounce of himself.
What a Warrior, he, his brother, and all of Australia I'm certain are proud of him.

i hope danny green was watching that fight, and i hope he felt embarassed

 

yeah. it was actually a close fight before the 9th round when the fight was stopped. after 8 rounds, i had it scored 76-75 jmm with katsidis winning 3 rounds including the KD.

 

The guy won us all over with his courage last night. He showed us all the great side of boxing, and human nature. And most importantly, he will have made his brother very proud

 

I agree, I like Katsidis more the more I see him.

 

Much respect for Katsidis, I always watch when hes on... He gives his all inside that ring. R.I.P to his brother and wish him the best.
