Translation: I assume the guy I want to win will be decisively beaten by the guy I want to lose. Isn't that what it actually means when you hear/see most people say that? People think they're saying Pac has some "intangible" that will win the fight for him when they know Mayweather is a better boxer and that they have this sixth sense that Pac's intangible greatness will win against the odds but what they're actually communicating is ''I hate Mayweather and/or love Pacquiao and I know Mayweather would win 99/100 times but that would be the best thing to me if he didn't win this one time." I'm not saying this as a Mayweather fan. I enjoy his boxing a lot but I'm not a fan of him personally and I'd love to see him take a defeat too. I'm just saying that's all I get from people who say this heart/head thing. It's all I get from people who normally say that about any fight. Does anybody else think that when they hear it? Anybody listen to that and think hey why not just say you hope the guy who doesn't have a good chance at winning will end up winning?
Mayweather decision is the most likely result- he will win at least 7 rounds. My head and my heart says Mayweather, but in the back of my mind I would really like Pacman to have a go at those whiskers and land something hard.
My heart and head say Pacquiao, that's only fear that's preventing you from going with your heart. Its hard to process the idea of something happening that's never happened before.....well there's a first time for everything.:deal
Usually I go for the underdog, in this match I don't know if there is such a thing. I suppose Mayweather is barely favored, I enjoy watching his pure boxing abilities. I'm going Floyd but I really want for the sports sake this to be a friggin' incredible fight.
I agree we all have heard this ad nauseum. It's s good point. However, other than the semantics, it's the same thing.
my mind knows, better than most, just how good floyd is at doing what he does, and it still picks pac... to my hearts delight.
They both seem like giant gaping assholes, but Floyd seems to be the more giant gaping ******* of the two. Which is why I could say I'd prefer if Pac wins but I'm positive Floyd will. All that said I'm more a fan of the sport than any fighter in particular so I don't really care who gets the win.
