The Dayton/Cincinnati Ohio area has never really been known for producing Great and/or an abundance of Boxing Talent other than Ezzard Charles and Aaron Pryor (Although Buster Douglas is from near-by Columbus).

But recently with the last couple of years..."We" have several Hot Young Boxing Prospects that will make some NOISE within the next year...IMO!!!

    Rau' Shee Warren (Amateur)
    114lbs
    Cincinnati, Ohio
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp1zxvErmZs[/ame]

Warren is a 2-time Olympian and Agents, Promotional Teams have been waiting and waiting and waiting for "Nuke" to turn pro for 2 years now. Dibella made an standing offer for an undisclosed amount after the '08 Olympics, but Warren said "No Thanks...I want that Gold Medal". And now his eyes are set on the 2012 Games in London....although, there have been recent rumors that "Nuke" go-back on his promise to his Mom and pass on the Olympics for the lure of DOLLARS in the Pros.

    Adrien Broner 18-0
    135lbs
    Cincinnatio, Ohio

Big Shout-Out to the Poster Brickhause who told me about this kid. I did some digging, called some old friends and contacts...this kid is from my old neighborhood....Nice. A fast Boxer with serious skill and athleticism.

    Chris Pearson (Amatuer)
    165lbs
    Dayton, Ohio
    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg0wNPpVd0k[/ame]

A former All-State, Ranked ESPNU Top 150 Basketball Recruit. But after two torn acl's, Chris decided that his part-time hobby should be his full-time activity. After Winning "regional" amateur titles as a part-time fighter...after a year of punching full-time was the National Amateur Champion at 165lbs. Talked about staying an Amateur for the 2012 Olympics...But Money Talks, Turning Pro in 2011...CAN'T WAIT!!!

Warren is a good amateur. He's not as good as Rigondeuax, but maybe that's a good thing.

Good stuff man...I knew about Warren, who sounds really excited to be in the startup semi-pro team boxing league that still lets him keep his Olympic eligibility. Hopefully he can bounce back from what happened last Olympics and get that gold medal!

The other two, I haven't heard of yet. I'll keep them on the watchlist though. :thumbsup

I was disappointed with warren in Beijing but rigo did go on record saying that warren gave him his toughest fight. I think he should wait till after London to turn pro. He'll stand to make a lot more money if he's negotiating his pro contract with an olympic gold at hand.

There are a few more in the Northern Part of the state (Cleveland/Akron)
Shawn Porter (which I am sure everyone knows about) Mickey Bey Jr. is a really nice fighter, Shaudale Evans and Prenice Brewer (Brewer just recently suffered his first loss though).

Yo Jeff M. There is another kid from Toledo name Martin Tucker. But the people that manages this kid, ****ed him over...bad!!! This kid has some serious skill, fast hands and willing to engage and exchange. They put him in with an Undefeated Prospect Michael Torres from NYC and Tucker pulled the Upset. You'd think they would bring him along slowly after that right...WRONG. Next 3 fights were HOT UNBEATEN PROSPECTS (Lanard Lane, Sharif Bogere and Ivan Popoca)...all losses.

Check out the Story a Toledo Station did on the kid:
