    Good list!

Personally I had Chisora-Whyte as FOTY, I found that the most entertaining fight of 2016. Perhaps because of the size and power at HW compared to the lower weight fights it was contending with.

That brings me back in the game....

    1. Sergey Kovalev vs. Andre Ward - Just because it was such a huge fight, a very good one and served up endless chances to discuss it (troll) on ESB
    2. Leo Santa Cruz vs. Carl Frampton - Great scrap, tactical and technical masterclass from the Jackal and LSC played his part too
    3. Dillian Whyte vs. Dereck Chisora - An all-out war. Technically awful but that kinda added to its appeal. Sometimes all we want is a proper toe-to-toe humdinger
    4. Gennady Golovkin vs. Kell Brook - Simply because someone dared to try and take the fight to GGG when he knew in his heart-of-hearts what would eventually happen.
    5. I'm awkward - neither three or five picks

    Miura-Vargas

OP, how do you not have this as a Top Three? Unless this fight was in 2015 and I thought it was 2016?

Because it was 2015, but if it makes you feel any better it was my number 1 for 2015.

    Whyte v Chisora
    Gonzalez v Cuadras
    Lebedev v Gassiev
Golovkin v Brook ( more so for the hype of having GGG fight in the UK).

The second time I watched it, it was slightly less suspenseful and thrilling, but still solid.
