well done...but i will say you have a knack for making this guy seem important i know hes getting ready to fight for something called the World Professional Boxing Federation title and he rated 151 st in the world by boxrec, but he is a boxer, so i will give you that
but in all seriousness...he seems like an honest and cool guy, especially the way he summed up the state of the heavyweight division
Chauncy is a good friend of mine, and I respect the hell out of his talents, he is much better than people give him credit for. They automatically write him off as having talent when they see his body type, which isn't right/bad on them. Anyway, the interview was intended to kill two birds with one stone in that it gave both Chauncy and I some more coverage, and also it provided a bit more insider insight into the upcoming Tua vs. Cameron bout/card.
:nono Rob, I respect the hell out of you my friend, but don't go smack talking Chauncy on me now please. He is a good friend, and you should spar with him sometime to see how talented the man is. He got skills.
The grammar and punctuation is good, which is always a surprise for most things published on the main page. One thought, though: instead of the "Haha", I think industry standard is to use "(laughs)" in interview transcripts. Given that he isn't really a household name, a bit of an introductary paragraph is in order - give the reader a reason to continue (at least his record and notable opponents - Solis comes out, but you may have lost your reader by that point). I mean, the guy has 45 fights at the age of 26 and started professionally at just 19 - that's interesting! He does seem like a pretty cool, non-BS type guy with a potentially interesting story to him (the move to New Zealand, for example). Doing a 500-750 word profile piece using a longer interview would make sense. Has he had talks to face Cameron or Tua, for example (it must have come up). And if you're hoping for some feedback, I'd also suggest just copying the piece into your thread. People don't bother clicking links... and then you also have a chance for the hook of your introductary paragraph to work and keep people reading. "The man to give Odlanier Solis his longest fight, 45 fight veteran Chauncy Welliver, took time from his current sparring work with Shane Cameron to give some thoughts on the upcoming Tua fight and the state of the heavyweight division." Y'know, something like that.
