The power comes from your feet up thru you legs and eventually ends on your fist...but my legs I beleive they ran out of rounds..because every day halfway thru the workout, my legs are shot...I been trying to work dirrent excereesice to keep the tem fresh other than running..but damm..it is the reality of 50 years...

Can you take a spinning class? It's great for leg strength and easy on the joints, not to mention a good workout.

Weights aren't the best thing right now. If you can't run at all, walking is better than nothing. You've been in boxing for a long time (from what I've read). You should take the weekend off and rest your legs. Then on Monday, try out one of these if you like:

    Hindu Squats
    Roller Blading
    Skate Boarding
    General Biking
    Stationary Biking
    Outdoors Rowing
    Outdoors Hiking

I knew somebody was gonna laugh at those, but I put them in there anyway. Seriously, I would think he's awesome if he could skateboard at 50. The rollerblading he could do with his girlfriend/wife at a rink once in a while.

You guys are missing the point, the point is that I am working with OLD legs, each figher has so many rounds on his legs, and I think that I just run out of rounds..,

So it is not a matter of endurance, or strength ..it is a matter of conserving what little springness I can from my legs for as long as I can when I am in the ring..

This limits anything that will required the legs to hold the weight of the body…jump rope, running, squats etc…I nee to change my routing for cardio to more % biking and less % on the other machines….

Orishaman, maybe you should ease down and not train every day. Maybe do it 3-4 days a week or something for a while, and then if you feel strong again, step it up again.

Maybe you should just realise your 50 years of age now and your body will suffer now. Dont you coach maybe that should be your hobby from now on , or golf or summit , this sounds really harsh but its a fact of life , your not old by any means , just maybe need to do different things now to keep fit that arnt so stressfull on the joints. My dad was no boxer but he used to do triathlons and marathons and all sorts of activities , soccer ect . In those days he didnt worry about good running trainers or what the pounding was doing to his joints. Now he cant run a 1 mile without his ankles flaring up. But he cycles to work everyday still , scuba dives , plays golf , swims , does alot of walking and is very fit still for his age. Its a shame but mayb its just reality setting in?

that's why I suggested spinning. I go a couple times a week and there are people of all ages in there.
