Lets assume for a second pacquiao vs mayweather falls through again who will be the best for him to fight then?

    - marquez at 140, legacy fight and marquez deserves it the most

    - Paul williams 154/147

    -sergio martinez 154

    -Felix sturm 160

    -a 140 talent

Winner of Williams/Martinez would make the most money, aswell as history.

140 talent within a year or two there would be one dominant champ there, at the moment let them sort it out.

Outside of Mayweather, Martinez or Williams are about the ony challenges for the pacman to try and gobble at this stage

But whats the odds he ends up fighting the devastating and in their prime Mosely or Marquez

Mosley is the only person he absolutely should not fight, that would annoy the hell out of me. Mosley may fight berto/clottey or retire

I have zero interest in seeing Pac fight Marquez at anything above 135. Pac would mop the floor with him; it would be a waste of time and a waste of a fight for Pac. And I say this as someone who, while trying to be as objective as possible, is a pretty big fan of Marquez.

    Mayweather (147)
    Williams (154)
Martinez (157, for the MW belt)
and ... maybe Mosley (although I'm not really convinced by that)

    in that order.

Think about this, next week there is a good chance paul williams beats a weight drained sergio martinez, after the fight says he wants to fight pacquiao or floyd.
They make that fight sime structure as the margo fight, it would still be awesome.
But knowing bob arum he will go after mosley.

If i were you id be annoyed as hell anyway. You got one of the most devastating looking fighters of the past decade or more, and all his team do is put him in with **** fighters, shot fighters, or weight drained to hell fighters. No one will ever know how good this guy ever was cause of his poor resume stacked with once great fighters

Anyone who is slower than him and in need of a payday so wont worry about his steroid abuse. Also, must be willing to fight at a catchweight so they are drained and can not be decent defensively. Footwork also must be terrible. Brandon Rios next up!

Why drain Williams, though? You can't both claim credit for winning a JMW belt and, at the same time, claim, "I'm too small to fight a JMW".

I think, long-term, Pac's unnecessarily damaging his own legacy with all these weight games. I think he still beats Cotto if Cotto was allowed to weigh 147. I think he still beats Marg, if Marg was allowed to weigh 154. But, as long as those games are getting played, it just leaves room for questions, criticisms and doubt, and that stuff doesn't need to be there.

Nope. Pac is strong and too fast for Martinez. It will be competitive but it might end up early. It won't last the whole 12rds.
