Agreed, it's something I've always said. If a man throws a punch with the intention of it landing then how can it be lucky.
And the PED on his blood ? Lucas Browne was lucky to not be definitely banned with the Chagaev's fight (thanks to his Australian Nationality).
Its obvious that he dived against Gallen. Perhaps he was offered really good money as that is the only way I could explain it.
The reality it's that it's the true level of Lucas Browne and he underestimated a lot Paul Gallen during the fight.
Looked to me that he went down extremely early in a fight where Gallen barely landed, and stayed down. Gallen is not even a puncher, and Browne can take a lot more punishment than that as has been proven in his fights since then. Pretty clear cut. If they fought again Browne would smash Gallen to bits
If you genuinely want to know what happened, Gallen landed a shot to Browne's left ear almost immediately that perforated his ear drum. His equilibrium was completely shot. He had fluid coming out of his ear for weeks following it.
Maybe, maybe not. You have to have a solid chin and be tough as nails to do bk. I question both metrics are up to the task for him. Hed be dangerous early though thats for sure... an incredible glass cannon. But I kinda see him folding once a solid shot gets through.
Wow could only be desperation. I was there ringside when he got cleaned up by Hemi. Absolutely no punch resistance left. He is well and truly cooked. Nice fella though. I like Big Daddy Browne
