Both are in with a shout in this one. Johnson is way past his best. He's slow and plodding these days but he sticks around and keeps throwing heavy shots. Dawson has been down, what, three times so far? Dawson's defence is sloppy at times. He gets lazy. Johnson still has enough pop to make young Chad suffer. But Johnson can't win this on the cards, he has to end it. I just don't see Johnson being able to move well enough to take advantage if he has Chad in trouble. Dawson may go down in this fight but I can't see him losing if it goes to points.

I think those odds are outrageous too. The fight is set up for Dawson to win. However, this is the best fighter he has ever faced. The hardest hitter he has ever faced. And Johnson has a helluva right hand which is kryptonite to a southpaw like Dawson....just ask RJJ how good Johnson's right hand is!

PS-Is anyone going to the fight? I'll be there.

:good I am predicting a shutout (or damn near) also. Dawsons workrate and relentless pressure (with great accuracy and timing) will be too much for Johnson to handle. I don't see how anyone can call this a 50/50 fight, or JC/BHop 50/50 either. I see both of them about 90/10 for Dawson and JC. Imo some good odds are Cintron at 2.5/1. With Steward in his corner it is a very real possibility that he cruises to a decision over statue stick-man Margo if he is mentally strong enough. I see that one about 60/40 for Margo; but good betting odds nontheless whereas for JC and Dawson there are not too many scenarios anyone can think up of just HOW they are going to lose. Just my .2 cents

Heres the thing. I think Dawson's got all the skills in the world and god given talent a few can claim.

Yet thumping in that talented chest of his is a big ole vagina.

Nice analysis. What makes you think that? Have you ever seen him fight? How does he lack balls? He is a non-stop relentless pressure fighter with a great workrate......I highly doubt he backs down from Johnson at ANY point in this fight

It's not a bad bet Pimp.

3 to 1 odds are hard to beat.

Dawson was taken the distance by Adamek and Eric Harding............so I fancy Johnson lasting the distance.

And if Dawson lacks heart.................Johnson will find him out.

I hear ya. What's your take on the fight?
I expect Johnson to come out fast going right after Dawson but after he adjusts probably 3 or 4 rounds he'll start to go to work and out box Johnson to a wide UD.

Obviously not just odds. But the odds for this fight are peculiar. Gomez Cotto odds are about right imo...

I wonder what the odds are of Gomez going to distance with Cotto? since I don't he will be stopped I'd be all over that bet in a second.

I've seen his fights and I look in his eyes and I don't see anything resembling a champion.

Dawson's chin definitely can be questioned, but there's no reason to believe he lacks heart. After getting hurt and decked by Adamek, he fought back bravely and even stunned Adamek on one more occasion.

He's a gamer. The chin issue does hover, admittedly.

I think 3:1 odds against Johnson make for a solid bet in Glen's favor, but I certainly don't view this as a pick'em fight. If Chad is as good as many of us believe he is, he should be able to handle today's version of the Road Warrior.
