    They were great IMO.

After 12 years as a pro and 50 fights Morales lost just 2 fights. Those losses were to Barrera and both were questionable, L12 in 2002 and LMD12 in 2004. He beat Barrera in a close fight in 2000.

He rose to the occasion and beat Pacquiao then lost his 51st fight to Zahir Raheem. He was clearly past his best vs. Raheem and went just 4-6 (2) after this point and was stopped in 3 of those losses. Even while past prime he gave David Diaz (135 Lb. World Title fight) and Marcos Maidana (140 Lb. World Title fight) tough fights. He even stopped Pablo Cano in the 10th round of his 59th pro fight.

He won World Titles at 122, 126, 130, and 140. He beat Barrera, Pacquiao, Ayala, Zaragoza, Kevin Kelley, Junior Jones, Wayne McCullough, Hector Acero-Sanchez, In-Jin Chi, Guty Espadas, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, and others.

I got no issue with calling them great, but i don't think they were ALL-TIME sort of great.

They would be out of place in any original 8 top ten imo.Featherweight being the most applicable one, and the winning titles in so many weightclasses was more a reflection of the era than anything else, too many less than spectacular fighters to pick and choose.

I thought Vernon Forrest edged Mayorga in the rematch.

Ali-Young was DEFINITELY a robbery, and this should be controversial only for Ali worshipers.

I think lightweight great Benny Leonard could have outpointed Mickey Walker.

I think Marvelous Marvin Hagler beats any aggressive, come forward middleweight.

I think Ali is the greatest heavyweight...but in the back of my mind, Lennox Lewis might possibly have beaten him.

I think Monzon would have beaten Conteh.

I think James Toney is a great fighter.

I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the best defensive fighter on film, the most cunning, strategic, and best managed fighter in the history of boxing...in or out of the ring. Floyd is an ATG.

I think Dwight Muhammad Qawi would have rolled Bob Foster.

Close fight, but not overly significant.

Young was at prime and Ali was largely finished.

Linearity is, in many cases, arbitrary.
Floyd beats Pea decisively at 147
Vitali was a top ten head to head.
The right punch can stop even the most iron-chinned warrior.
Champions should defend their titles at least four times per year or be stripped.

Remember that Spinks stalled Qawi when he hit him hard in that second round.Foster possibly hit harder, so I doubt it.
