truly...dont think theres ever been a heavyweight of that size with those kind of skills. however id say it wasnt psychological problems as much as it was laziness problems...bowe came to fight, he came to knock you out and he came to win. he had the heart and determination but not the desire to train.
One of the great disappointments of heavyweight history. Easily a better, more compelling talent than Lennox Lewis, he simply didn't have the dedication to keep it up. Still, he was one of the only heavyweights over teh past two decades to actually beat another great fighter (Evander Holyfield) in his prime.
indeed. almost KOing a prime Holyfield and handing him his first loss equals about 10 victories in today's heavyweight division.
Still fuming at him not having faced Lennox in the 90s. What a battle that would have been. Besides Michalczewski vs Jones, I cant think of a more meaningful fight that should have happened in that decade, but did not.
haha...fits my m.o. don't it. i had been on the verge of using that track for my past few highlights but it didn't feel right til now!
Always knew it was but after watching all these fights of his i've never seen, id go so far as to say that right hand is P4P one of the hardest ever in HW history. Shame his prime was so short, he coulda left a much bigger mark in the boxing world.
