Must add, Morel is the embodiment of class. What he said after the fight, the way he handled himself. Quality human being. And gave his all as a 36 year old against a hell of a young fighter.

Abner seems a nice kid and all, but shaking hands and being sportsmanlike with a scumbag like Eric Morel is taking the nice guy thing a bit too far IMO.

 

Cant say a bad word about either one of these guys. Respect

 

You can't say a bad word about Morel, because of his in-ring performance? :blood It isn't like they put on Gatti-Ward or anything.

Let's not mince words here, Mares did most of the work to make it exciting. 97% of it.

 

What are you referring to, IB? In the post-fight interview Morel couldn't have been classier.

 

Appearances can be deceiving, jg. I'm afraid you're sorely under-informed where it comes to this scumbag...

In 2002, Morel and a group of men in their late 20's/early 30's (including two of his own brothers, icky as that is...) singled out a 15 year old girl, isolated her from her friends, got her inebriated, and then when she was helpless passed her around and raped her and defiled her in every orifice.

He was convicted in October 2005.

He was freed from jail in ****ing August 2007.

**** Eric Morel. Nothing he ever does in his life - and I don't care if he ****ing cures AIDS and donates his entire life savings to starving kids in Africa - nothing will ever make him earn the distinction of "classy".

 

Hes 36 years old, he did his best and gave his respects to Mares. Both men earned their paychecks and are good guys in the sport.
